Problems with Attikus

I would love to know more about how you made this work.

I’ve had a lot of fun playing Attikus in PvE, but the one Incursion match I tried with him was seriously one of the worst gaming experiences of my life.

If I can do my thing, the enemy dies quickly. I… just am never allowed to do my thing. It seems like everyone else has more CC than I do, is much better at avoiding damage than I am (huge character, no defenses), and easily outranges me.

His only meaningful defense comes from the tier 5 health regen perk in his helix, but you need to stack charges for it to mean anything. To stack charges, you need to get kills. I can’t kill any players without the health regen, so I’m stuck killing minions. I can’t really kill any minions once my team starts getting pushed back, because there are no minions available for me to kill (aside from the occasional thrall camp)unless I get right on the front line, at which point the whole enemy team goes, “Oh hey, check out this big red piñata that just walked up!”

So I literally don’t know how you do it.

It’s the gear i bet…he has too main weaknesses…attack speed and movement/sprint speed. If you buff both with cheapish gear you can get all three buffs early that basically give him that awesome helix talent of plus 20% attack speed and then he can pursue dudes and wreck em. I’ve had some beastly games in meltdown with him and incursion…10 plus kills never 22 though like beast mode up there but i bet he’s just better at it or had some team help with a miko or reyna. Nothing wrong with team help…that’s what this game is all about. As far as buffs…he doesn’t need any…he’s good with the right gear. There should be zero nerfing till we figure out how good the gear is…cause then the character plus the gear could be op. We don’t want that…lets wait on the buff and nerf discussion to learn more about the game first. This meta is deep…much deeper than we think.

“Charge Efficiency” is his best Helix skill utility wise, once you get 5 stacks skills only use up one stack; You can refill your stack with every kill.

Also, I play him like an Assassin.
I get Attack Damage and Attack Speed, pounce in to stun foes and beat their faces in.
His legendary gear is stupid good, it makes it so the first hit you land with hedronic arc will slow down opponents making it even easier to lock down targets.

Do not get lifesteal for punches, it’s practically worthless.
Get dampening field, it reduces damage for a short period of time BUT MY GOD it will save your ass.
Use his sprinting quick melee for extra mobility, it launches you off ledges and does about 200 damage AND can combo into either of your melee attacks.

You gotta play patient early on, farm shards and minions, but once you’re at around level 4-5 you can really wreck stuff.

I only use my leap when absolutely necessary (I spec it so it brings my shield back up immediately, just for extra survivability)

Hmm you get up the opposite of what I get, he’s my best character in PvP so far with a K/D of two (not counting assists)
Seems to me that either you decimate teams (like go 20-1) or get decimated yourself (0-7)

If there is a Melka, it’s good be 0-7. No character destroys you as badly as she does.

I find Montana a pain, you need the 1 second damage reduction to take him out. He has too much health to burst down down and kills you pretty fast

Absolutely not. That would make it just like Isic’s dash, which is horrific as far as inducing nausea. While that might work for slower skills, it has to happen too fast for a dash-type ability. I actually can’t play Isic because of that dash (and his wards as well)
