You told me to elaborate. guess I got my frustrations in too. I am playing now with the ghosts and skulls and having no problem. I was reading too much into the negative comments being posted on another forum. Cheers
Ok… Cool. It’s not that bad really. Farming Gravy still yields more regular anointed weapons than before.The ghosts do get tedious.
Any way… Like bludhound said… Just go kill some ghosts if you are having any issues with Maurice. I just wanted to sort this out so people weren’t stuck.
Another issue… if you accept the quest and go into the quest zone and quit the game before finishing and turning the quest in, the quest disappears. I did all the quest steps, killed the final boss. Then quit the game while in the quest zone before going back and turning it in. The quest was gone when I logged back in. Not in my completed list, not in my in process list. No more ghosts, no more offers from Maurice. Just gone like it never existed. All that effort for nothing…this was on PC

The quest doesn’t appear for me, too - but only with Zane. I did a full normal playthrough with FL4K and Zane, both are still on normal, Mayhem 1. The difference is, with FL4K I finished all side quests, challenges, eridian writings… and I didn’t want do do all that things with Zane on normal again, I will do it in TVHM.
Today I chose Zane. Menu is Halloween-themed, ghosts appear, but no quest on Sanctuary (sometimes the zone progress for Sanctuary switched from 100% to 98%). Killed some ghosts and Haunted Demoskaggon/Dragon jr., still no quest. I started on Sanctuary with him.
Then I switched to FL4K. He was at Konrad’s Hold when I started. And look, what showed up immediately: Maurice was talking to me, told me to get to Sanctuary.
Maybe don’t exit the game on Sanctuary? Or it has something to do with the quests/challenges/whatever you finished before? If you have more than one character, try all of them, probably the quest will show up for another character.
Go kill some ghosts somewhere. Exactly what happened to me.

Ive killed captain haunt like 10 times last night. I collected 25 souls and went back to sanctuary and exited the game to go and get some sleep. load it up this morning and the quest is just gone from my echo device and maurice isnt giving me the quest. Its just gone!? any help or solutions? or do i have to wait for a hotfix?
Loaded in too fast … Didn’t let the patch unlock the event
Go to main menu wait fur the screen to go Halloween themed then load in
Please also note two versions of offline people are confusing the two

Wait are you serious? Did you discover a way to make the event go away? I may have to try this because I would rather bug out the quest if it means all this ■■■■■ will go away.
Not a bug …
Just don’t connect to the internet before you load up the game and start your character … The dlc is downloaded … But it takes a hotpatch to unlock it … No hotpatch … No unlock … No unlock … None of the ■■■■ you’re referring to
I was replying to someone else actually who sounded like they bugged out the quest and all the harvest stuff went away (while online). it was the comment by @indyj_son
Damn. I tried what you did but I still have the quest and ghosts and everything. 
This was my issue. If you hit start too fast right when main menu screen loads (before you see all the pumpkins appear) the DLC will not be on, it appears. I retried and waited a little bit at the start screen. The background changed and when I logged in I was able to finish the quest. However still don’t log out in the event zone. It will take you back to Sanctuary and not let pick up where you left off. @Sidartha I don’t know if that is a trick you can use to bypass the DLC? Just start the game real fast at the main menu. I’m on PC
I finally found a legendary bloody harvest loot, but it did not mark the task complete. It took me forever to find it!
What did you find ?
It has to be one of the three or four special legendaries just for the event
I’ve been farming for the ghast call grenade for days … Have up and started back on leaving my Zane and his first legendary drop … A level 22 ghast call … I’m sure the game trolls me
Any terror-anointed legendary counts for the event task, you have to equip it though.
I had the exact same issue on Xbox. I was going in too quick and running down the hall in Sanctuary. Go back to the title screen and have a cup of coffee or something, by the time you go back in everything should be fine. Please note you do have to manually select the new mission Maurice gives you as it isn’t automatically your main mission.
