my cousin plays at home every sunday since i can remember (used to play ninja turtles on the nes)
since then, he’s never had a subscription of any kind, and we’ve been playing diablo 3 on ps4 and borderlands and lots of games online, but im the one with ps+, without him needing even a registered account. just the user.

But, he has no account on my PS4. He comes as a guest. He turns on (he lights on) his controller (game pad) and he logs on as a guest but logs on with his PSN account (with no PS Plus.)
Is that right ? Or he needs to create a secondary account on my PS4 ?
he would probably need to log in with some account that isn’t a guess. So that would be his PSN account if he already has one.
Wait you need a PS+ account?!? thought this was like warframe. I played beta without PS+. I already pre-ordered game how do I get my money back?
Warframe is a free to play mmo while Battleborn is a full on game. The beta allowed everyone online capabilities, but the full game will require (on consoles) a subscription. Where are you buying the game from? If it’s Gamestop you should be able to call in or go online and cancel your order.
Bought it from the PlayStation store so guess I might have to call them. that’s so lame there are plenty of games that allow you to play without + membership. Which is such a scam you already bought the $400 console you bought the $70 games and now ontop of that to actually play the games you bought is another fee?!? I mean really??!? really sad now was hoping this would be my go to game I really enjoyed the Beta.

It does kinda suck (especially considering I’m a college student lol). If you call up they should help you cancel your order as long as you give them a decent reason. I don’t see why they wouldn’t. You’d still be able to play single player and run against bots, but that isn’t the same. I hope you can get your money back.
1.Go in Settings on your PS4.
2.PSN
3.Wallet
5.Historical transactions
6. You choose the period of research where your pre- order was made
7. Click your pre-order
8. Click " canceled the pre-order "

Yeah with all the trolls etc… pretty much kind of sad.
You should at least consider getting ps+ though. You get a few free games every month and discounts here and there. I’ve heard you can find some places that will have year memberships on sale for around $35.
I agree that it may be worthwhile considering getting a PS+ account…
I too don’t currently have one, I thought I wouldn’t bother and preordered the game months ago, before playing the beta, as I figured I would just play the offline storymodes, etc, not anything online (which you can still do by buying the game, it has offline storymodes, etc)…
But I really enjoyed playing online with other random people (these features you need a PS+ account for), that I don’t think I could go without it now… Way too much fun!
Also a lot of other games have these features too now, can’t play any of their player vs player modes without a PS+ account, all the big titles are pretty much making it an essential staple…
So I for one, will invest in a PS+ account all thanks to Battleborn… But if it isn’t your thing, and you can continue playing games without it, then hey, more power to you for not freely handing over your cash!

Another person posted an article on the topic and it seems like the main reason the membership became mandatory is to offset the cost of server maintenance. Psn isn’t perfect by any means but I’ve noticed a significant improvement in this PS4 era.
i have noticed the other way around. when it was free they had lots of good games and now they are giving away indies exclusively. also, i had less problems with people disconecting when it was free.
then again maybe i’ve been playing Street fighter 5 when everyone disconects when you are winning… ok, maybe that’s the reason.
