How will they police something like that and what would happen?
I assume they only have a small number of people in the test?
Easy. They have people who will monitor Twitch and YouTube looking for leaked gameplay footage. Any they find will be promptly taken down and the offender(s) kicked out of the beta program. I doubt GBX will go to extreme measures to police their beta, but one would have to be pretty stupid to break the NDA if they want to continue participating in the beta.

I understand that but tbh it’s not just those two.
We have plenty of other apps like instagram for one and how many gaming websites and forums do we have?
I doubt they would look into every single one and tbh they would never know who that person is or which format they are playing on unless they specify it.
I just find it strange how extreme they are about keeping it a closed secret like Fight Club.
But it is what it is.

I seriously doubt GBX is going to monitor every social media outlet, but they will monitor the big ones to keep information from being published that shouldn’t be. The reason they’re being so picky is because until the game is released, everything’s subject to change. The last thing they want is their customers complaining because a feature that was leaked from the beta was cut due to whatever reason; take the level cap for example: it started out ~20, but was cut to 10. Imagine if it was 20 in the beta, but GBX decided to trim it down to 10 for balance purposes? Can you imagine the outcry that might cause? I’m with GBX: if you’re going to participate in the beta, you should be willing to abide by the terms of the NDA. If you don’t agree with them, then don’t sign it and don’t sign up for the beta.
I agree with you, but unfortunately it is the nature of the beast that some percentage of people that get invites to the CTT will act selfishly regardless of whether or not they signed the NDA. Images and videos will be leaked just so the OP can earn a few likes/views/upvotes. Now maybe that person will be caught, and maybe they wont, but Gearbox will have the ability to say “we made all our customers sign a NDA; we did not leak the content.”

Personally I’ll just be happy to play the game and I’m not bothered about posting anything for likes or winning the internet.
It will be interesting to see if people like pewdiepie, boogie2988 and so on do advertise the game.

My intentions of the post was not intended to make out I was upset that I could not talk about the game or share details and so on,
It was to find out how they would police everyone and would certain people (who I mentioned above) get away with it.
Also,
I played the Rainbow Six Seige Technical Test and that did not have the same kind of strictness nor did the Beta.
This is why I was took back a little.
I can’t see gearbox making any such exceptions for the beta.

Just trying to figure out whats the deal about just keeping your mouth shut? Of course they may not check everywhere, but why even the need for the discussion? Seems silly to even ponder. Its like “how can I talk about this publicly without people catching on” type of thinking. Maybe try and just follow the rules and NOT BREAK A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT. If you can’t, then opt out. Better for us all.

I’m getting concerned that I haven’t gotten a beta code yet!! Me and my crew are ready to not break the rules!!
Codes have not been sent out yet. A little bit of reading on the forums will reveal that. I’m pretty sure it will be a big deal when codes go out, you will most likely know.
I mean…I’m not shy. But I’ll hand over the proof when I get handed a battleborn beta download. Which reminds me, how can I get in on this? All my friends are downloading the beta but me. I’ve been waiting for this day so long! I don’t want to miss out on it now. Please!
