[PS4] Gear loadout out of date

On PS4 I have run into a bug that prevents me from using my inventory/gear at all! I opened the legendary pack for the fist time after hitting lvl 30 and after some inventory management I attempt to go back to the menu and is left with a “The Loadout version provided to the Battleborn Open Beta server is out of date.” error pop-up so I hit okay and am returned to the loadouts screen but all 6 or so are gone and I can not leave the screen, it then gives me the same pop-up over again if I try. I have quit the game and relaunched it. Was given full control up untill I went to the gear menu and the same thing happend.

Moved from the Borderlands Handsome Collection section to the Battleborn bug report section. Thanks for the info!

srry about that i searched for it and couldn’t find where to post it so i searched bugs and clicked the first one hopping some1 would notice it, srry and thnk you for moving it.

I’ve also ran into this problem I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the app and it still happens haha

Srry to bother you sir/ma’am but do you know of any movments towards fixing this issue soon. I am lvl 43 and have reached 100% Lore and rank mastery with Shayne and at this time I would normaly try to better my gear at this point but I have no way of doing so and have nothing left to do. Srry to bother you but it is quiet trouble some not being able to advance in a game you are loving.

I very rarely have any direct contact with the devs, I’m just a volunteer moderator on the forum, so I can’t say for sure whether or not any progress has been made. Having said that, I do know that the devs are reading this forum very carefully, so I’m confident that they are at least aware of the problem. This bug has been reported by multiple users.

My best advice is to hit that ‘dev tracker’ button up there and see if anyone has addressed this issue in another thread. Jyhthri -Randy V, creative director of Battleborn- has been very active with various updates and insights into what’s being looked at.

they haven’t posted anything about it yet from what I just checked as of right now, hopefully they will tell us when they are close to sorting out the problem.

I’d like to add my name to the list of people with this super irritating bug. I’ve been mostly playing story mode since I don’t like PvP without my friends and I’m afraid of losing gear that might be good because of this bug. As a result… I haven’t really been playing.

I am having this same, annoying bug. I really want to play this (PS4), but im fearing that i’ll miss out on some gear/chests if i do so, so i’ve quit the beta for now. Maybe it has something to do with our accounts? Or just certain pieces of gear, maybe one of them is glitched and causes this crap to happen?

I know on my end, this didn’t start happening till i got my 6th loadout and i renamed it before i put anything into it. Though i do not think that is what caused it, since the friends i play with have custom names for all of their loadouts.

Same thing happened to me, got my 5th and 6th Loadout. Filled my 6th while leaving 5th blank. Tried to save and then got hit with this game ruining bug. I even tried uninstalling, deleting local content, rebooting then reinstalling. Got the same error again. My loadouts are saved but cannot be edited or seen in any way. It ruins the game, id even take a full gear wipe just to start over if that would fix it.

May wanna change the tag on title of the thread: I got the same error on the PC-Steam version:

It failed to save one part of my loadout, and the item it failed to save was one that I had just sold a duplicate of before trying to save (same item and rarity), so that may be the cause of the bug…?

Also having same problem. Have like 10 packs I haven’t opened due to this issue. Hope they fix it soon.

From what I can tell, this issue is account based on the server side. Meaning there’s nothing we can do but wait for them to fix it.

I’ve tried deleting save data on the client side.
Reinstalling
and deleting some other relevant files.

None of which worked. However, logging into a different account on the same machine allows access to the load-out menu with out issue. So it looks like an account based bug :frowning:

Got the same problem on Steam.

Happened after I created and named a second loadout, followed by a game crash, followed by the repetitive messages.

I have tried so far:

  • Verifying game files
  • Reinstalling the whole game
  • Deleting my game profile
  • Selling all my gear (no loadouts = no erros) nope, doesn’t work (bye bye legendary :frowning: )

I already contacted the support about this but they are limited in their possibilities to help and couldn’t resolve the issue.

I’d too be glad to hear if this is actively being tracked by the devs, or any other form of response.

figured id chime in with my own two cents.

As KitsuneArts said, this is a server side problem. I have also tried uninstalling and deleting other relevant files in an attempt to fix the issue with no luck. Also can confirm its not some weird router/port issue blocking communication to the server due to my roommate not experiencing this issue.

This problem occurred after i saved my first loadout to the second loadout slot.
