Idk if this has been brought up before, but it would be really cool if, in the future, there would be cross play between PC and PS4. Several other games have started to do this, and it would be really cool for me to play with my friends, who are on PC. Is there any hope for this?

I don’t think so. You run into the inherent problem of mouse vs controller aiming, which puts PC players at a distinct advantage when it comes to the actual “point and shoot” aspect of the game. Granted, there are several melee characters and ways to benefit your team in PVP without shooting someone, but I still think it is unlikely we will see cross platform play like that. But don’t quote me.

I’ve heard people talk about the advantages of mouse over controller, but I never really go it. Can you just turn faster with the mouse?

Yes faster and way more accurate and you also can have more frames on pc with is a huge advantage in pvp.

Picture trying to control the cursor on your computer screen with a joystick instead of a mouse. That should give you an idea what the mouse advantage is like.

Its true that a mouse is more accurate yes, for sure!

But I play now over five years with a gamepad Battlefield on PC. I stay at a 2.2. 2.8 KD so its not that bad. You just have to adapt your playstyle.

Even where is the problem just to give us the options to play with which plattform? Default option is the current plattform. Try hards like me with gamepad can play against PC, PS4 and XBox Players. Players who just want to play against PC vs PC, Console Vs. Console can do it as well.

Its all about the setting. For sure its harder but with the right settings you can achive a very good result. For example I control sometimes my whole windows with my xbox 360 controller and there are very small icons or control panels. If you would see it you would not see it instantly that I use a Gamepad.

Dont get me wrong Mouse is way easier and still more accurate. I just saying with the right settings you can get in the near to a mouse.

At the end almost every game have very bad gamepad settings only battlefield has a lot options to adjust your gamepad settings.

The main settings what you need to have a good aim with a pad are:

  • Sensivity (X and Y)
  • Acceleration, to set it to a constant speed and not like …slow…slow…faster…more faster…fastest…
  • Deadzone to set when the sticks start to use your inputs. Often too high.

This may work for you but Im sure the average controller user is at a disadvantage here,
this means not that I’m not ok with playing against controller peasants as a member of the pc master race. :sunglasses:

Cause that just make it default that console vs console play together and exclude the PC. People like me can set the matchmaking to all plattforms. Everyone is happy then, its better to have a choice instead of having no choice.

And this game need not that powerful aim some characters are really easy to play with gamepad.

What am I? I have a very powerful gameing machine and all consoles. I really like console a lot of things are standardised but the hardware of this generation every time force me to play some games on PC.

PC players would win majority of matches. Ps4 has limited buttons PC has a ton plus a razor naga mouse yeah GG. Also Gaming Pc’s run way faster than any ps4 wii or xbox ever will. if ps4 etc wanted to compete with pc’s they could but the cost of the consoles would sky rocket. Don’t get me wrong I love my Ps4 but the platforms are just way too different.

I’m actually with the idea of cross-platform play between the PC and console versions (both PS4 & XONE.) This will only enlarge the number of potential players you can matchmake with, which is a good thing.

If the mouse & KB thing is a concern, then they can disable cross-play matchmaking on the ranked competitive playlist, and enable it on the others.

Just give an option if you want to play with PC players as console player.

I played with gamepad on PC battleborn, this game is not all about aiming. As I said I played with gamepad on PC and I got more kills than most of my team-members, its not a twitch shooter.

Yes and whats the matter? On PC you have variable hardware sometimes you have players with 120 FPS and sometimes with 60 FPS or even below 30 FPS this is PC gaming.

No, all of them are x86, we are all humans, we are all gamers, dont make war! Let us come all together and set a statement.

My sayings!
Mouse Keyboard is better yes but its okay to play BB with gamepad as well.
It would be awesome if console player (me) would finally get rid of this auto aim thing.

I am all in favor of at least cross platform play between XOne and PS4 as I have both systems and friends on each and would love to be able to play with all of them.

Rocket League is going to do, said from a technical standpoint its easy.

All non exclusive games should have cross platform play, its time to end these silly console wars, people are going to buy the system they prefer anyhow.

At least this would be nice yes. But in a perfect world we would all play together (PC, PS4 and Xbox) regardless which plattform.

If a game has cross plattform it should offer everytime a option with what plattform you want to play with.

I guess I should have clarified why I left off PC gamers.

I have a nice gaming PC and still play several games on it but I 100% agree someone who is good with a keyboard and mouse has a huge advantage over console players.

Plus like someone else mentioned the game runs a lot smoother on a PC as well.

Lastly and most important to myself is every FPS style game I have ever purchased for my PC the hackers ruin the game literally within hours.

Even a lot of PCs running the game at same performance like a console. A lot of people have notebooks and playing on these devices. On PC you have everything below 30 FPS, 30 FPS, 60 FPS and higher. I see no problem here for consoles.

Advantage yes for sure! But Battleborn is not a Twitch shooter where you have to aim very well. I played the Beta on Console and PC on both plattforms with gamepad and even on PC it was not that hard for me with gamepad. Battleborn is a game where you have to play smart and make good decisions. Its not about to have the best aim in the world :smiley:

Too bad but yes its too easy sometimes to cheat on PC…
