[PSA] Galilea, Ambra, and El Dragon

THEY WEREN’T RUINED OR "NERFED TOO HARD"

What is happening is that those complaining are playing them WRONG.
They play the characters the same way they did back when they were Overpowered.

No you can’t be reckless with Galilea because you know she’ll out-tank and out-damage; not anymore,

No you can’t be reckless with Ambra because you know she’ll out-tank, out-heal, and kill anyone; not anymore.

No you can’t be reckless with El Dragon because you know he’ll out-speed and out-damage everyone; not anymore.

Relearn how to play the characters the proper way before stating how bad/unplayable they’ve become.

Defend more with Galilea, be strategic with your stuns and skills.

Pick your fights wisely with Ambra, manage her heat, sun-spots, and auto-attacks. Know when to retreat.

Know when to jump into battle with El Dragon, equally as important is knowing when the hell to get back out and regroup before going back for more.

Again, the characters aren’t bad; playing them like they were played before is where the issue is at.

End Transmission.

I saw an el dragon go 2/17 and now 4/22, I am not enjoying seeing them on my team.

Maybe underlining will be more to your liking?

You’re entitled to your opinion, indeed. El Dragon might have been “over-nerfed”, who knows? Only proper testing will tell (in time).

I just think that the overpowered characters that were nerfed should be tested a bit more extensively before people dismiss them as unplayable.

Conversely I just lost an Incursion match to an El Dragon going ham and wiping our team regularly. It is definitely something that takes time and testing to see how effective/potentially over-effective changes may be. Far too early to say whether or not the nerfs were good or not.

I don’t agree that he was “over-nerfed”

I played as El Dragon and I keep playing him.

Before the update I did 20/4 on my first pvp game with him. After the changes he still is the same El Dragon if, like our friend said, you play the right way and dont jump to your death.

Last match I did 21/9, but this time only because was a long match. As El Dragon I won 1-on-1 versus Galilea and others.

I think he is just no longer so “easy” to play, maybe he is now complex or advanced.

Rabid_Explosion, these nerfs were needed. We are still in beta and the game still has a lot of testing to do. Its not final yet man.

Yes, that was the point I was making.

Don’t really play as El Dragon, so I can’t speak for him. However, the other two were not overnerfed…at all. The only one where I could feel a difference in damage post-patch was Ambra. Even after acknowledging that, she still is extremely viable, and a nerf was needed to even her out a bit. With Galilea, I feel no change in her performance. Her damage output is still insane. The only difference I felt was that she is a bit more squishy, but not by much. She has gone from god-like unkillable, to maybe being able to be killed occasionally.

Just had yet another match where an El Dragon single handedly carried their whole team and went like 15/3 against players of much higher command levels. It doesn’t feel like an over-nerf at all.

I played as all three of these characters and since the nerf i go on average 10 less kills then i did before the patch. I still get a record of 15 kills to 1 or 2 deaths with each of these three and that is amazing so I don’t mind. I do fear that they will continue to drain these characters down until they become sub par though but until that happens i will have fun with them.

El dragon straight up becomes unfair at at enough movespeed.

Going for flailging arms splash damage and the comeback you can wombo combo people and they can not do anything about it then you just speed off with lightweight and repeat and clothesline.
