This is actually how I got Right Behind You. A good Shayne with a competent Miko is still ridiculous (first time I’ve seen someone use her stealth only as more damage in a one v one, as well as for the slow
Thats how I use shayne, she is a beast. Start a fight, once shields go down pull. If they try to escape stealth slam to slow. I love Shayne, once I finish getting my characters to rank 12 I’m back to my main.
I just started using her. What would you reccomend for gear? I’ve been using epic attack speed and shield, shield, and shield recharge. Soon I have a ridiculous amount that regens in a snap. But I feel like regen or damage may be better?
That sounds amazing, you can try to increase the shield recharge a little more. I like to take her helix choice that starts shield regen after every skill use, if you get it high enough you can almost fully charge your shield in a split second, with the pull you will almost always fully charge your shield before they break the overshield. With the stealth you want to save that for a last second escape or a kill secure move, it does a decent amount of damage. You may also switch the attack speed for cooldown so you can recharge your shields more often with the skill uses. But attack speed is good on her so picking attack speed or cooldown is preference, cooldown helps with survivability.
Edit: A few tips for using shayne, I find it more useful to engage with your basic attacks and use the pull/stealth to prevent running away. So a battle should go: Attack from a flank or the front, when your shield goes down or the enemy starts turning to run pull them, continue to attack, stealth and run if needed or stealth and kill (To recharge your shields for the next fight).
Ah, I’ve been doing roughly what you describe, but opening with stealth and finishing by pulling them back in. Good to know
I like to use the pull as soon as I see them turn because the pull turns them to face you and can really disorient them it also interupts attack sequences and skills if they aren’t using instant cast.
Edit:(The stealth can be used to initiate if you have a good amount of cooldown so you can use it again when they try to escape.) nevermind I forgot how long of a cooldown it has, so it is not realistic.
I love playing as a support. I don’t know what it is, but I feel more at ease when saving allies versus killing enemies. Keeping track of my teammates’ location and their health bars, healing/shielding at the right moment, and pushing away enemies is more fun to me and feels like more of an accomplishment than getting a KO on a battleborn.
I have no doubt that I will absolutely fall in love with Kid Ultra just as I have with the rest of the supports. I have a very good feeling that he’s going to be competing with Ambra and Kleese for favorite character.
I agree with all of that. But that’s the problem lol. I have all of the supports except Alani mastered, and she just needs 4 more lifeguards to give up. Now I feel bad for wasting exp so I’ve been embracing Thorn, shayne, El dragon, Oscar Mike, Caldy, etc. Etc.
Lol.
when i play support i try and heal whoever and whenever possible but when im not support with one on my team there are sometimes they can save me but dont and sometimes they can which i appreciate but there are also times where they pick a healer and dont really don any healing whatsoever just try to attack
I had a new Miko trying that the other day and I told him to stay behind us instead of running ahead. He did rather well after that and would have done better if the enemy Attikus hadn’t been focusing on him. As a team, we taunted that jerk every time we killed him.
100% agree!
Also protect your healers! They’re trying to save you don’t think they’re fodder just bc they aren’t killing things.
If you look at it that way, then I want to kindly say your classifications are pretty pointless as Miko is the only one who falls into your “main healer” category
It pains me when lower levels don’t understand that Miko has a healing beam lol. Luckily for me, the few times I’ve messaged them to inform them about it they play much better and actually use it
I don’t think he knew what Miko’s role was, but he did take our suggestions to heart.
On the subject of the thread: I generally only play Miko if I’m playing with my friends because it’s hard to tell pugs I can’t be everywhere at once and that I won’t go into a 3v1 with them. I also stopped playing Miko because it was getting annoying having to check on everybody’s health all the time; I’ll play either Ambra or Alani instead.
Alani has become my new favorite healer. With the proper attack speed she can get stacks faster than people realize
Yep. I use her legendary and a green sword (with +health) for that reason: stacks for days once I get everything up and running.
Well, I mean anyone who can reliably heal you behind cover. Ambra, Miko, a very specific and rare Reyna, and old Kleese can perform that. Now Kleese cannot and the splash double heal with Reyna is gone so you see less of that too. Oh, and an exceptional Alani (I am not one of these. I can’t reliably hit with her until level 7 for the attack speed). But only a few chara ters have reliable heals behind cover. Burst heals are also useful, just different.
Yeah, Attack Speed is THE major stat for her.
I run Vow of Zealous Fury along Emulan Tincture (with a 0-cost shard gen to pay such expensive gear pieces).
Well, I played some matches without another healer (besides me as Alani) and I must say it can work. Although it requires a good team and is something I wouldn’t recommend trying in PUGs.
That explains why I had a miko during chaos rumble glue himself to me when I was 1 of 4 attikus’s…I didn’t realize until later I was doing the best and he was actively SEEKING me it seemed like
