I picked BB over OW because of having both PvE and PvP and the inclusion of RPG elements. My roommate feels the same. I think one issue with PvP exclusive lore achievements is they absolutely require a group and are often based on which character an opponent picks while almost every PvE exclusive achievement I can think of can be done solo and are often much easier solo.
If you are talking about Alaniās Riptide achievement then that is doable in PvE as well.
It was working, but stopped working yesterday. I had a group of 4 friends help me test it and we tried to trigger it in a Story Mission and it wouldnāt trigger. Iām still at 10/50. =(
Ahhh bummer.
Iām guessing this is dead in the water, shame but i didnt think they would do this_
Def. I was looking foward to doing gale. , ambra, etc but those 25 kills are impossible with no one playing those characters due to the nerfs. On another very important note. I was in a match today with an Ambra in my team and a Gale. on the other. Our Ambra took like 2 mins to start playing and when she didā¦she just went to the mid thralls and let the gale kill her 8 times before our team surrended. I recorded it on my xbox and reported it. Obviously the gale messaged him/her asking for free kills to complete the lore challenge. ā¦that was so wrong on so many levels. I wish I could post a pic of it on here ā¦
I have seen an Ambra on the enemy team maybe 5x in the last 100 matches. With a player appearing that rarely, I shouldnāt really be surprised at what players will do to complete a lore challenge that was horribly designed. Iām honestly surprised I havenāt see posts on any of the various forums calling for organized matches to trade kills.
If a player skipping out on helping during a PvP match to go after lore challenges or to help another player complete them bothers you, donāt call for action against the players; call out Gearbox to change the lore in such a way that it wonāt negatively affect matches.
Exactly but i fear this will go unlistened to.
On top of that a lot of the marketing i saw for this game made it seem this was aimed at casual players looking to play a few times a week not the hardcore fanbase who were always going to unlock everything. Now imagine a casual players reaction when they pick this game up and discover lore challenges such as kill Ambra 25 times, or 50 kills with Benedict whilst airborne, very illogical to my eyes
I know @joekgbx mentioned it in his post that they are looking at tweaking lore challenges: [Dear GBX] Somebody Please Break the Silence or Communication Is GOLDEN
But I think a quick hitter would be to enable lore challenges against bots.
