It’s weird cause on one video the guy never even fired a single bullet. He summoned Pete, turned both valves slagged everybody, one melee and Pete was dead. I’m gonna keep trying
You don’t want to use a singularity. Grouping of the enemies prevents a chain from happening that makes Bloodsplosion build up Overkill damage. You need the enemies strung out in a line with Pete at the end of it.

you could use a slag pimpernel, slag plasma caster, Florentine, slag slow hand, etc…
There are tons of ways to slag.
I slag Pete with a slag slow hand and a low level slag bouncing bonny for the other enemies
How are you starting the chain? With a melee attack or a bullet? You should either use RtB with StV or a rapier to start things off because K does more melee damage than he does bullet damage in most cases. You should also have either a legendary sickle or a scream sickle with +6 StV & +5 EtR on as well.
I’ve tried bullets and melee. I’m using a crunch class mod that boosts explosive damage by 49% and I know that doesn’t apply to bloodsplosion. The only legendary mod I have for krieg is the one that gives 99% kill skill duration.
Try to get a sickle COM; otherwise you’re going to have trouble…
I could never get the Bloodsplosion going on Pete either- I think I didn’t have them strung out enough and would just melee the spiderants/rats before using RtB- I think I’ll spec back into that and give it another try later…

Sickle mods increase melee damage and empty the rage and silence the voices. Well, scream and legendary do, with the later providing the biggest increase because of fuel the blood.

No you don’t. A standard blue or purple Sickle class mod will work just fine. In fact, you’ll get the maximum amount of melee damage using a blue.
So the 500% melee damage from release the beast is not enough melee damage?
I was just saying that you don’t need to farm chubbies for a legendary Sickle when a blue or purple will work just fine. The only thing you’re really gaining with the Legendary Sickle is Fuel the Blood which is going to be really hard to use in the Pete fight because you need a melee kill to activate. It’s just easier to generate the Bloodsplosion on a spiderant with a standard melee strike.
You’ll have plenty of melee damage with either class mod for it to work.
No it’s not. With a sickle mod, you can have up to 150% extra damage from Empty the Rage, 550% from Silence the Voices, and 100% from Release the Beast. All told, you’ll have 1300% melee damage. By the way, Release the Beast only adds 100% melee damage; you’re thinking of Buzz Ax Rampage, which gives a 500% base boost. If you want to BS Pete, you need as much initial damage as you can get and everything slagged, which requires a sickle mod. The reason I mentioned the Leg. Sickle is because Fuel the Blood increases explosive damage, which should increase your Bloodsplosions after the first one.
Think of it as a row of dominoes: the greater the initial force applied to the first domino, the more energy that’s transfered to the next in line and so on. If you have enough initial force, you can even have them “climb” stairs". You want the dominoes to fall one-by-one, not all at the same time because that’ll just disperse the energy and you won’t have enough to kill Pete at the end. Anyway, try either a blue or a purple COM with at least +5 StV. A blue scream with +6 StV & +5 EtR is your best bet, but a purple with +5 StV & +4 EtR should work as well.
That certainly makes sense! Yes you’re right, release the beast gives 100% on top of 500% in buzz axe rampage. Ok so now I know what class mod I need to farm for now. I can’t thank everybody enough for all the tips!
Yeah, I had issues with this at first as well.
I can confirm though that a blue quality sickle mod that adds to StV will be enough to get this done. Also it was mentioned earlier in this thread that you don’t want a singularity grenade mod, but it is possible with one as I am able to do it with a slag singularity and a blue quality sickle mod.
I managed to do this for the first time other night using a slagga to keep pete slagged and to build bloodlust stacks. Once I reached 100 bloodlust stacks I would release the spiders and immediately run to the valve to release the rats. After releasing the rats I would shoot Pete with my slagga a few times to get back to 100 Bloodlust stacks and then immediately throw a level 65 slag singularity grenade at the waterfall the rats drop from, release the beast once I was below 33%, and melee attack one of the slagged rats. This would usually work and one shot Pete, but didn’t always work on the first try. Still doable. I would recommend a lower level slag grenade though, as I had issues with accidentally killing the rats.
