I have been playing BL2 for quite a few years now. I occasionally play random multiplayer matches on PC. I decided not to get the latest UVHM update, and I have stayed at Level 61. Now, I have decided that I might be ready to go up to Level 72.
My question is this: if I am at Level 72, and have level 72 gear, can I be randomly matched with someone who is Level 72 and has all OP8 gear, and kills everything before I can?

Yep. Your best bet is to post in the Online trade/play forum here and specify what type of partner(s) you’re looking for. Otherwise it’s the luck of the draw.
