Is melee cooldown a thing? Are we only allowed to punch so fast? Is there a reason that sometimes I seem to get extra cooldown on punchs? Is it a bug?

I’ve had hundreds of times now where I wasn’t able to melee after just punching a mob. It just wouldn’t let me. This of course has resulted in multiple deaths. It’s extremely frustrating.

AFAIK this isn’t a thing, although it should be IMO.

There is some sort of recovery time though. And it depends on the manufacturer. Unfortunately, the guns with the most melee bonuses (COV) seemingly have the highest recovery time.
Compare it a Psycho Stabber to an Unforgiven and you’ll see the difference.

Another nail in the coffin for true melee …

As if melee was that op. I always wondered why they changed melee to not crit.
