Question about Slag damage relics

Interesting question, John. This is where I make a case for the Flourentine. IIRC, the main damage that the Flourentine produces is slag with slag splash, with shock as the secondary damage.

Say I want to use a Flourentine on Axton with a support-based build:

Flourentine, Slag BotA, Tesla or Quasar, Legendary Engineer or Legendary Soldier, Gemini and Double Up…

Throw out lots of grenades, constant turret action, and the Flourentine is a good debuff and isn’t too bad at killing stuff either.

Try it in a circle of slaughter or in Digi Peak. One slag/support Soldier can make all the difference.

Really. I swear I’ve slagged him before, he didn’t turn purple but he was taking a lot more damage than normal. Most likely me just under estimating things but still lol.

Some of them do appear to get slagged, but they wash it off in less than a second.

So tinder can be slagged and if u have the right gear he can be slagged “the whole time”
Also for your post above there is no slag BoTa afaik.

There is ineldeed a slag BotA. But to answer the initial thing about tinder, I have to test this, for clarity.

I can test the tinder thing. I’ve never seen a slag BoTa so they must be rare.

They come in every element except explosive, which kills my soul.

Talking about BoTa, do they not drop from llm’s anymore? On Krieg I got one almost every run in WEP now it seems with maya they don’t drop them at all.

He will take the initial damage, not sure about the slag coating though - it’s been a while. I always hit him with phaselock if there are no snow-minions around to get instead. (You can think of it like the difference between fire and burn damage, or shock and electrocute.)

Just a few days ago, while prepping for recording of the Assassin’s Challenge, I opened up a container at Sawtooth Cauldron with a LLM. Dropped me a BotA in shock.

Going back on my comment about a Slag BotA, I am second guessing now. I looked at some research already done from other sources, and the consensus is that they do not come in slag… :frowning:

I still must test this about tinderflake. If I also stumble on a slag Bone in my collections, I shall let you know :smiley:

It’s okay afro I forgive you, but I farmed them 42-44 tvhm and only got like 4 legs no BoTa but like I said on Krieg got tons of BoTa plus legs so I thought in that November patch they nerfed the drops

Unlikely to happen without a patch note. RNG can be a real b1tch sometimes - you’ll always have feast and famine rather than prolonged steady, consistent drops.

Ya like when I was getting consistent drops with knuckle dragger with Krieg when I farmed beginning of uvhm with maya nothing for 25 runs ugh rng I hate you

@Maliwankenobi they only drop in UVHM after level 61, I think.
