have you tried without the hotfix to see if it’s same with the 20% version ?
I did not
when i played around with a rocketeer build couple of months back, i switched between 8% ammo regen while auto bear is active and 20% incendiary damage while auto bear is active and both seemed to work. it’s possible i miss took the fire damage for something else though. but, the 8% regen still works which is the same concept so it’s strange that the incendiary one doesn’t.
The ammo regen wasn’t working when I switched either… I’ll test it again when I can and record it because I keep thinking I maybe did something wrong. I don’t think I did though.
No, you’re absolutely right - the ammo regen does not work for me either now. Sorry, my bad.
And without hotfixes applied, both still doesn’t work. perhpas the never worked and i misstook them when i played around with rocketeer.
Damn that definitely worked for me in the past too.
You didn’t have forge or crit the dummy right? That sounds dumb but I did that and was confused for a bit haha
Maybe it worked before a different patch. Maybe it only worked on pc at one point and never ps4. Ps4 nerfs seem to eventually make it to pc (security bear) but then again some don’t (MoD grenade procs).
it were before target dummie were a thing, i ran SS. but it’s plausible i mistook it for redistribution and other procs.
I feel like I tried it too tbh… Why else would I be remembering it as if it should allow weapon swaps.
It’s completely useless the way it is.
does the increase IB cd by 30% per kill disappear on weapon swap too? I’m back to a point where I just want to play with different guns and effects, and I’m avoiding Blastmaster no reload and annoints restricting weapon swapping because it’s not the playstyle I like (I like traditional shooter mechanics, finally bored with Kyb and splash in general, giving Dahl guns some love atm).
Also, airborne +handling +accuracy crossroad is pretty nice, since I jump alot anyway. I’m also thinking an x2 Q-system and Ruby’s wrath with consecutive hit annoint just for fun.
It does. But, that anointment works in an interesting way.
First, it’s also on a shield so that’s one way to always have it going. But 2nd, each kill procs it for 10s. If you kill 1 enemy after exiting you get about 10 seconds of 30% increased cooldown rate. If you kill 3 enemies quickly you get 30s of 30% increased cooldown rate. It stacks the amount of time you earned.
You don’t have to keep killing enemies to keep it going, it will still count. I haven’t extensively tested with weapon swapping after killing a few but I’m pretty sure it keeps track of cooldown you already earned.
ah thanks. hmm, how about slow moving projectiles and airborne buff, does it apply as I fire or do I jump spam as the bolts hit the target (like for a cutsman, for example).
I’m thinking of configuring my setups so that I have an IB exit gun, say, brainstormer for clearing out shield bars, then switching to an airborne annointed incendiary or corrosive gun to finish off targets.
not everyone can get it, but omg, i just got hold of a radiation redistributor. My grenade has a shock ASE on it, and for 10 seconds after getting out of IB, that redistributor will tear shields up and then really hurt flesh as well. Got a mindsweeper mod on that setup and it’s just radiation explosion noise for the entire fight. Doesnt really do much to single targets, but wowzer on groups.
@twoPIZZA - Another ASE anointment you might like could be the crit-bonus-on-exit one. I have that on my Magge and lucky 7, and they perform VERY well with a mindsweeper setup.
I didn’t test your specific use case, but from what I did test it keeps track of where you were when you fired it. So if I shoot and then become airborn when the bullets hit it doesn’t apply the buff. But if I shoot while airborn and land before the bullet hits the buff is applied.
I believe there would be no swapping nature here, as it’s not crit bonuses it’s the gun damage. So pretend it works the exact same way any gun damage works. You essentially have a different gun in your hand while airborn and when you land you ‘switch’ back to your regular damage gun.
I haven’t tested much, but wouldn’t a gun damage one have benefits to both body shots and crits? And the crit one only gets a bonus to crits?
Yes redistributor is crazy, it’s the first legendary I got on finishing Takedown, and I haven’t seen it again. Didn’t even know how good it was at the time so it was sitting in my bank til I got bored of maliwan guns.
I got my only one in Incendiary, with 50% shock on next 2 mags.
I currently run Green Monster so there’s corrosive. my shield also has ASE radiation and nade has ASE cryo. When I hop off IB in Slaughter shaft, my redistributor doesn’t care what defense it hits, I focus on the toughest baddie, usually the tink, and everything around it dies. Also not sure but it feels like Short fuse trigger on chain bullets, or maybe there’s just so many tracking nades bouncing around. Also there’s the recursion but that one feels exploitative vs mobs.
@twoPIZZA
hmm, odd that they store damage value on projectile, but crit multiplier is referenced from vh. thanks.
There’s a weird mix to whats calculated when. From My testing there’s only a few things stored on the bullet. Normal ‘Gun Damage’ buffs, amp damage and lastly the slide/airborne damage anoints. Everything else is seemingly calculated on impact.
On my PS4, it’s also prone to crashing my game. For moze, I use it (very riskily) on takedown wotan when i’m soloing on non-scaled event, because it’s one of the only ways to quickly burst all the mobs with her (sadly). I hate using it tho, because it does feel kinda cheaty.
