1. Does shield penetration go through both a characters blue bar shield in the bottom left and/or if a character is using an actually shield like boldur, isic or galilea have?

  2. Crowd Control Duration -what qualifies as crowd control? My interpretation is anything that puts a buff or debuff on a character but is that gearboxes definition? Is silence, stun, pop up crowd control?

  3. I am assuming attack speed effects will not increase how fast Miko’s L2 heal ability heals right? Cause its not attack? Does attack speed make thorns bow or tobys railgun charge to maximum faster?

4)How does multiple bonuses stack exactly, if my attack speed is normally 100% and i add 10 percent it goes to 110% attack speed but if i add another 10% is it not 121% attack speed?

I am sure i will find other questions when i check out my gear page again but for now these are some things i am unsure about. Does anyone else have any gear effect questions to add on?

Also on a side note, doesn’t some gear effects seem way better then others? Like 250 health boost is way better then 5% damage reductions. Like i just can’t imagine why you would choose some of the gear effects, like what good is 12% longer crowd control effect on a 2 second stun? Maybe i am interpreting how the effects actually are measured in game but it seems like they are weak and not all gear stats are equal.

For Thorn, does not appear so, but it does make her non charge fire a little faster (time it take to draw an arrow and immediately fire)

Not 100%, but I believe it is stun, blind, silence, ect . . .

Seems to only work on the blue bar shield. I haven’t noticed being able to penetrate a physical shield

No actual clue on this, but I went from playing borderlands to this, where healthgating is a thing, so I generally avoid raw health boosts in most situations. That being said, some characters with bonuses for being at full health (via either helix point or gear) this makes the raw health boost potentially diminish the viability of that skill or helix point. Case, I have a shield penetration com (or whatever) that gives me 20% shield penetration, and another 20% shield penetration when my health is full. If I combine that with another piece of gear that increases maximum health, it will take that much longer to benefit from that second 20%. It’s one of the things I really like about the gear setup in this. Some gear shines on some characters, and some gear shines when used in conjunction with other gear, so while some may seem underwhelming, it can be combined with other aspects (helix/character or other gear) to make it amazing.
