I love Dominance. I just finally got it last night (I was putting off Fl4k til last because everyone else was playing them, including my partner) and my partner and I were having a blast. I was running through Nekratafeyo saying “mine” as I turned enemies to our side and then watching rocket Launcher bad guys do my work? It’s amazing.

But you gotta get good at passing it around. Get an enemy weak first.

My partner is playing a Tediore Chucking Melee Bear Moze, and they’d stand by my new puppet until the spell wore off, then POP dead. We were laughing the whole time.

I wouldn’t call it an efficient skill, but with my Red Suit shield. Most enemies were blowing up before they were free of the spell.

The problem with it is you have to be prepared for it’s quirks, and if your partner isn’t gonna laugh about the wait time, it’s not gonna be as fun :frowning:

Do you use face-puncher? It helps with the range, and there are possibilities like using it for ammo restore or self terror at the same time. Granted I have used dominance like 3 times but that’s probably how I would run it

I did to test it, but as I said, the red suit is part of the trick. But the fp is good for like. Slaughter Shaft to get a rocket Launchers from across the room. Still only level 40 though

Happy to say that the build survived Slaughterstar on m4 (couch coop). Round 5 took 4 tries but in the end both bosses fell to me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Also Takedown m3 in a team I can survive Wotan now, have to be very careful, but at least I’m not only in the viewer perspective anymore.

Still a bit more squishy than I’d prefer, but got a snowdrift otto idol now with a small damage reduction for me but splash and fire damage for my rakks, they do some good damage now, awesome to see.

Maybe I should give up one additional elemental anointment and go back to my stop gap with health regen for the harder stuff.

I haven’t read this whole thread, but I will second the Stop Gap or Re-Charger for Fl4k in general. These are 2 of the best shields for Fl4k due to their special effects. Slightly prefer the Re-Charger over the Stop Gap, but either is great!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, pair it with a Last Stand artifact for lots of survival!

Time to start farming anointed gear.

If you’re using Rakk Attack builds, then you want the weapon to be anointed with “Enemies damaged by Rakk Attack take 100% weapon damage for a short time.” This will help you melt away badasses and bosses.

Take whatever shield you prefer, but make sure it has the anointment “On Action Skill end gain 50% (elemental) damage with weapons for 10 seconds”. Pick the element that works best for you. Do the same with your Grenade. The anointment stacks.

Spam your Rakk Attack as much as possible and both of those anointments will be always be active.

And if you’re up to it, go farm yourself a R4kk P4k class mod. The easiest way I’ve found is farming Tink the Cunning at the Cunning Proving Grounds at Ghostlight Beacon. Must be done on Mayhem 4.

Have most of that already, set up pretty good, just would love to get those anointments on better shields/grenades.
Still wish there would be a bit more tankiness, but I guess unless I’m really lucky with health regen rolls on class mod and relic, that won’t happen. I’ve done all I could. I won’t become Krieg anymore :joy: will just have to be a bit more careful and keep some distance.

As for bosses, used to fade away they take a while now with the rakk build, any other tips here or is it just like that now?

Bosses just take a while now unless you figure up a gimmick, stack anoints or something.

However, thanks for the thread it’s given me some ideas about how to proceed on my rakk Fl4k I’m leveling now.

Nothing will outclass Fade Away’s ability to dunk on bosses, but any good gear with weapon damage +100% on ASE or +100% damage on Rakk Attack targets anointment, used in conjunction with 50% elemental on ASE anointment on a grenade/shield (or both!) wil be good for bosses. A Maggie with +100% more damage plus +50% elemental damage will melt most bosses.

For survivability I stack Self-Repairing System/Turn Tail and Run/Spiderant regen with a Ward shield, when the shield is down and you’re moving that’s 7.5% constant regen and damage reduction too. But if you’re not in the green tree, Who Rescued Who + Ward + health regen on relic might achieve something similar.

I can happily announce that my last runs through m3 takedown felt almost tanky :joy:
Used a Transformer, seems a solid choice for the takedown. Only changed shield and grenade (before I used them both only for the bonus elemental damage, now they are actually useful), and I even was the last one alive at the end of the Wotan fight and I made it! I think I’m soon ready for m4. Not solo, but with my awesome team I could indeed see me survive this soon.

I’ve been running my rakk build in the raid on mayhem 4, constent up time. With the previous buffs anointments gave on action skill end I have used talk over Fadeaway since before Fadeaway was nerfed. With a shield that gives cryo damage and my grenade giving me corrosive, both for ten seconds, this is probably the highest dps build out there after Amara with the new class mod.
With an anointed brainstormer mobs are nothing to clear and during the Valkyries boss fight I can run the hole thing on m4, my kyb’s worth and lyuda are better for them than the cutsman as they aren’t a slow moving crab tank.
I play very aggro that is why this build suits me the best, if you want to use megavore you will find an otto idol to be your boon, megavore will complement OP boss melters and crowd control guns like the cutsman and brainstormer out drastically and allow you to shoot on the move easier and still get crits. Though not as effective against wotan as Amara this Fl4k will still prove they are still top tier dps, and until I see am Amara use something other than a cutsman on the Valkyries better for that boss fight. Your grenades are unfortunately useless aside from your anointment which should be the elements you need the most for the type of enemies you fighting.

I used to think that until I started downing Graveward on TVHM M3 in 10 seconds using a Maggie and Rakk Attack. The right Rakk Attack with the right gear is just amazing. And it’s awesome for mobs as well. If I go down I get right back up. Between my pet and myself, something is going to die before I get even close to running out of FFYL. I had an easier time with Cistern of Slaughter on M3 with Rakk Attack then I did on M1 with Fade Away. In fact with Rakk Attack I can clear all 5 levels using nothing more than a Maggie and Reoccuring Hex at M3.

I’m actually disappointed in fade away builds that do the takedown.

You can achieve the same on M4 with the rakk build o.o

Graveward isn’t a great benchmark for build viability but Fade Away instagibs him, even after the GITM nerf. On any single target, Fade Away will do better numbers. That’s literally Fade Away’s major strength.

But since all the hard endgame target is mobbing, that doesn’t matter, and even if it did, Rakk Attack/perma-anointed mode performs well enough that it is generally a bad idea to take FA in M4 just to kill a boss a few seconds faster.

Maggie I use a lot, or my fire Rowan’s Call. It’s not fade away with a Lyuda, but it’s still an acceptable time. But I farm Graveward on m3 only, didn’t find the more time on m4 worth the effort.

And the mobbing on m4 with Rakks is REALLY fun, plus it feels more like what the class description made me expect, a beastmaster, and not just a copy of Zer0 (as fun as that was up til m3).
Guess this closes the circle, I started with Rakk attack and on m4 am now back at it.

You should take a look to this build. Really good surprise to me. As i run a based damage rakk build, this one offers really good survavibility (need to adjust somme points or gear to do other stuff than the raid if you want). But with no point in the blue tree you can say goodbye to your skag i think even if in this build, pet doesn’t count lol. Last stand Otto Idol help so much

Noooooo I can’t say goodbye to Dukino :sob:

The price to pay to stay alive in M4 :grin::grin:

I found his choices to go with 100% dmg on ase anoited weapons than 100% on rakk attack are good. random path of rakks sometimes can be frustrating
