I feel the same way. I was so disappointed when I got to the Arid Badlands, only to discover I wouldn’t be able to visit any of the other places from BL1 and see how they’d changed (places like the Lost Cave, or the remains of New Haven would’ve been really cool to see, I think).

As for my actual contribution to this thread: in the side mission Handsome Jack Here! (the one where you collect Pierce’s audio logs), Pierce mentions hijacking the “train that runs through the Dust.” Except… the only train in the Dust goes to Lynchwood! So how did those echoes end up in Liar’s Berg?!

I imagine a hurricane picked them up from wherever they had fallen, and dropped them off in Liar’s Berg. I believe the hurricane’s name was Anthony.

Perhaps it was Piston Hurricane

SPOILERS AHEAD

Alright, one last comment: I think I figured out how both Roland’s death AND New-U stations can be canon.

In BL1, if you try to head to the Dahl Headlands before defeating Sledge, the Claptrap stationed there will not open the way for you. It will tell you that you don’t have the security clearance necessary, and that dying without proper clearance will mean you are not resurrected by the New-U stations.

In BL2, Roland definitely would not have gotten clearance to enter Control Core Angel. The BL2 Vault Hunters get that clearance when they use Jack’s voice modulator and bio key to open up the door, but Roland never goes through that process. So without proper security clearance, his death is permanent. At the same time, this would explain why the BL2 Vault Hunters are still able to respawn if they die during the fight with the Loaders.

Thoughts?

Either that or Liliths on her first months because according to New-U making babies forfeits your right to replicate yourself (which makes no sense, how the hell would the machine know where you blew your load…).

I’m honestly not too faced about the plothole. For all I care New-U might not be canon, works for me. Cool theory though, not trying to discredit it at all.

You can pin enemies to the ground using Axton’s sabre turret. I did it when I was climbing Magny’s Lighthouse.

Although I’ve never quite got the timing down, I’ve seen video of someone doing that to Pyro Pete. Makes it a lot easier to pop his hat off!

Not a bad suggestion. Here’s my head-cannon on the topic, which also factors in New-U versus Fast Travel issues:

There’s a chest on top of the pipes where there’s an echo recorder for the In Memoriam mission (though you can get to that chest right after jumping across the bridge after Angel hacks the Catch-A-Ride… usually I’m on my way to that chest when Jack starts his “Sometimes I envy you Vault Hunters…” rant)… that one always seems to have level 11 gear in NVHM if I remember right.

I didn’t mean to do it, itjust sort of happened as I was engaging the Rabid. I thought it was hilarious how the turret nose dived trying to get a bead on the poor thing.

I saw a video of someone “capturing” Voracidous with a similar method. Seemed to make that fight a lot more manageable, since the Phalanx Shield would eat the novas.

Yeah, I know that one but I never go there besides later in the In memoriam quest. The only options are the bandit camps before entering Sanctuary or a world drop.

The there’s the aforementioned outhouse but I had never been there before doing a little scouting for it. But someone did mention there being a chest or outhouse that regularly spawns level 11 gear somewhere around there. I might search for it properly if I end up making another new character but I don’t believe that is going to happen in a long time.

Sorry about the late reply… I’ve been “busy”

The Orphan Maker’s self damage is ignored by Axton’s Grit skill.

Bandit Technicals in the Dust don’t appear to regen health and neither does Flesh Stick!

Also just learnt that after the Brick induction no matter where you are in the building after his intro you teleport back infront of him.

Inches from the red chest I tells ya!

(Flesh Stick story aside: I was taking a new Gaige through TVHM, and was at Tundra Express. Decided to get a Teapot to use against Willy, so I went through Tina’s missions. Flesh Stick time. So I run over to the camp, unleash Deathtrap and a couple homing singularity grenades and then I suddenly realize “oh yeah, Flesh Stick’s gonna be in that mess…” Sure enough, within 20 seconds the FAILED! sounds, lol. Oh well, at least the camp was cleared out for attempt #2  )

Jakobs Cannon rounds bounce off of critical hit locations and, at least in the case of the Stinkpot, is unaffected by Reaper and grenade damage boosting abilities.

Even on your knees in front of a constructor you cannot melee through it’s shield!

In theory, that shield is only up when it’s triggering a nuclear option, which is generally done when you’re behind cover at some distance (in which case you closed that distance and took a knee)? I’ll have to remember that.

When using the Fast Travel, you can click on the Fast Travel icon on the map instead of scrolling to the map name and pressing Enter. I just figured this out not ten seconds ago for the first time. When I’m traveling in pursuit of an active mission, it’s way faster because the Fast Travel will be highlighted on the map.
