Scrolls past the battleborn section and sees 5/6 threads about the new character. OK makes sense he’s new. Sees 4/5 are complaints OK. Is battle born really that unbalanced

I’m not going to speak extensively on the topic, but there hasn’t been a debut character without complaints of it being OP.

Also, in my brief experience with online games, whenever a new exploitable feature comes out; “it is always OP”.

I don’t want to date myself here, but the first and one of the only “MMO” games I’ve ever played, was Ultima Online ages ago.

They made a few updates to the weapon and skill system, and the people by the bank (main hub) would complain about them profusely. 90% of the time, the way around it just wasn’t discovered and everyone went back to doing whatever they damn well pleased anyway.

I’m not saying what is or isn’t the case, and I’m not supporting one side or the other. As a mod, I do my very best to remain actively neutral, blind to the points of the argument and only visibly interested with how it is presented.

But this is what I can assure you of, for nearly every character there are “please buff” and “please nerf” requests (save a few). Now, Gearbox itself has taken measures to alter performance, and trying to create a competitive system means you will constantly be smoothing out the edges, but common sense itself dictates that anything new lacks preparation against.

No, but some of the players seem to need a little adjusting :stuck_out_tongue:

Not on PC, as I know the next question you were going to ask.

You know me as Mr. Couch Co-Op when it comes to GBX. But I haven’t been playing much of ANYTHING that I can’t pause at a whim, because I’m here at the shop 80% of the time.

The players need adjusting? LOL…:

My dad is now watching Mr. Robot on his Chromebook.

Disloyalty to Gearbox… and after all the money they pay you to be a mod! :smirk:

Haha. I wish I had the time to play all of GBX games at home. But truth be told, if I can’t randomly pause it, it doesn’t fit with my schedule.

Hence why I reserve most of them with weekend time with the Missus.

I can bring the PS/PC to the back office, but during a rush of customers, I can be busy for literally 3-4 hours at a time.

Today I sold 6 cases of product before I had the ability to go to the back and get a bottle of water. On a SUNDAY.

During Christmas/Thanksgiving, I barely get sleep.

Also, 1-2p BB is a bloody riot.

The bloody jokes alone are worth the ride.

Well, hope you enjoy your job at least Giu. I admit I had a somewhat different image of it, but your description makes more sense.

If it’s not too bold to ask, what does your shop sell? If you don’t want to say I would make up something exotic, like crates of star-shaped watermelons or llama combs.

I just don’t get how people drink wine over beer. Or over cider, or vodka, or water.

I own a wine & liquor store. :frowning:

That’s one career I just could not be trusted with.

I remember some friends of my parents took up an opportunity given by Thatcher in the '80s - the government provided you with a modest but still very useful free startup grant so that you could go out and begin a business. Well, these guys decided to sell rare and specialist wines, and purchased a sizeable quantity of the best. Except, 6 months down the line, just as things were beginning to kick off, they opened the store and discovered they had drunk all the stock.

Some of the finer things in life.

I love a good wine, but the hangovers are hell.
