Yes, Euros, but it was all absurdly expensive. Seriously when I came to Leeds after Dublin I couldn’t believe the prices for stuff like beer. So much cheaper.

I’ve seen some in large rectangular cartons with a little plastic “tap” on the bottom. It’s what’s euphemistically known in the UK as “plonk”. You can even get “cheap plonk” (if you need to clean paintbrushes or something).

yeah, same here
like:
“ron silver”, 1l x 0.7 quid
"wine fruit punch", 5l x1.2 quid
"canned rum with coke", 300cc can x 0.4 quid
go figure out xD

Worst of all, supermarket own brand cheap plonk. Espeically Sainsbury’s basics wine.
It’s a real shame Sainsbury’s doesn’t sell outside the UK because I wish you could all experience and appreciate the joy of their Sainsbury’s basics range. Every item is packaged in the same white with bright orange text, and each item will have its own absurdly self-deprecating little tagline, which basically says, “It’s not good, but it’s cheap!”
The vodka calls itself “no fancy packaging… just vodka” (translation: this stuff is terrible but it will make you very drunk) and my personal favourite, powdered mashed potato: “less white, still alright”.

Saintsbury’s Basics? Not that I drink, but it reminds me of Safeway’s version of brand-name sodas.

Their sodas are meh. I could handle Mtn Breeze, their version of MD, but between that and the original is no comparison.

Has she seen it before, or is this a new thing for her? Enjoyed more of that series than some of the others, but it wasn’t always possible to watch: both kids were old enough to still be awake when it was on, but young enough (with overactive imaginations) to be easily scared by aliens. So I probably caught more endings than complete episodes (if I was lucky).

That reminds me of my childhood^^ When I was 5 years old “StarTrek: Voyager” aired in Germany. I loved that show alot, but was so scared of the Borg and Species 8472 that I could´nt sleep for weeks
SciFi was always one of the greatest things for me, always will be.
DS9 is cool, watched it very very often too^^

My mom likes Voyager. But she likes the later seasons of the series.
She didn’t care for Enterprise though.

You kidding me? My dad had his horror-VHS “hidden” under his bed - this crap(-> Cube-movie) scared the ■■■■ out of me! Must have been 8 or so…more 9.
More disturbing: Watching “The Children of Corn” when I was 7 or 8. Stupid, creepy B-movie >.<

Haven’t seen the Corncob Kids, but walking in on your uncle watching “Cube” on Sci-Fi when you’re about 8-9 with ABSOLUTELY no taste for that kind of gore…

I feel you… but most often I was insisting to watch movies that were not suited for children, but most were harmless really. Later (12-14years) I had a big aversion for horror & gore - been there, done that, no more please!
Then my friends talked me into watching “The Ring” with 13. Never got really over it.
