Look. We’re not talking about generalizing a race or a religion or anything else. We’re talking about a large number of people that lived in the same region have migrated to your region that I have to assume from what you’ve said are black from the southern LA area.
That’s not a problematic thing to discuss, and I don’t why it would be considered so. You can ask any of these bastards, I am king fuckbastard of the SJW army, but saying that people of different races in the same region talk differently isn’t genralization, its a goddamned fact.
Great example on my part - I do IT work for my state (Virginia). You know one of the quirks that African Americans have in the Richmond region?
R = Aura.
I’d never heard it at all because I live in a weird, sequestered part of the state, but was trained to use the military phonetics when reading off our passwords because they’re randomized and I need to be clear to my customers. One of the first things I noticed was this, and its so weird to me, but very common parlance to the group.
“Alright ma’am, so your password is the number 4, L as in Lima, R as in Romeo, K as in Kilo”
“Let me say that back to you, Four, L, Aura, K…”
To me, there’s no real fault. It’s the same language, but not the same dialect that you are used to. You and I did the right and only sane ■■■■■■■ thing - we adapted and learned. This doesn’t even have to be from a ■■■■■■■ pronunciation but just a tone, a twist of words.
Thatss literally how language works - people understand each other by the different way they use words, including context, volume, tone…
Saying you understand another regional, ethic, racial, or geographic groups verbal patterns isn’t auto saying something else unless you’re trying to be a dick about it.
It can be difficult how to correctly word what you mean given the climate today, but ■■■■. This is how humanity works best. When we understand each other.
Blarg.
Drunk Rage spit.
