Just ordered this for my university library - looks very beautiful but I’m not buying my own, even if “the cost per page is very inexpensive”!

This is pretty awesome
Having learnt several valuable lessons from my parents about what not to do with my life, I have never been tempted to go into the muddy field of archaeology. But underwater archaeology has its appeal. You basically get to search for buried treasure, but also call it Science!
It does have its serious problems of course, doing so much diving really isn’t good for your ears and a friend who is a maritime archaeologist is pretty deaf… nevertheless, finds like these are spectacular. I bet the discoverers were rather excited.

I’ve always been fascinated by shipwrecks and would love to explore the seabed via the little submarines. On the other hand, i can’t even swim, so there’s that.

I’m with you on the exploration bit, though I do know how to swim. Only wrecks I have a real interest in exploring are the Yamato, Bismarck and Hood, all from WW2

I hear you, similar problem for me due to my hearing. Still worth it to learn to swim though, if nothing else it’s good exercise.
