Whereas, I’m one of the people that read through all of the LotR appendices, AND The Silmarillion lol.

AND Unfinished Tales. I even read his son’s rendering of the Tale of Hurin (which wasn’t an improvement, to be honest.)

The pursuit arc was particularly ill done, not only was it contradictory and made up out of whole cloth, but it changed the entire focus of the plot.

The pro-longed mine cart and barrel scenes in particular looked like they were created with the express intent of being featured in a video game.

I think I’ve seen some of the second Hobbit film, and the first one twice, which was two too many. A real disappointment… without wishing to generalise, longer is not necessarily better.

Lamentably Indian summer is a regular situation here, September is often our hottest month. Thankfully not this year though.

Edit: … Somehow I blame you for this. I decided I should check the forecast, and it’s predicting weather in the 80s. The forecast is taken from an area that’s consistently more temperate than here.
