What’s the humidity? I don’t mind that quite so much (it’s been -18°C most of the day here, and I was at a funeral with an outdoor internment ceremony…). 25°C is about my limit as long as the humidity is reasonable.

I agree with you about humid heat being the big problem, but honestly that aside I just hate hot weather more than cold. At least with cold it’s easy to keep yourself warm.

Try a Louisiana summer. 100+ degrees and 90% humidity. Then put on a nomex suit (fullbody, fire-retardant) and work in the sun all day. There’s a reason the plants pay so well. But that PALES next to the chemical suits for hydroblasting the chemical tanks. full body plastic suit, including head entirely sealed in. Nobody wants sulfuric acid or benzene in their mouth.

I have literally seen it at 104 and 98% humidity. That was the worst one i can remember. And yeah, in Arizona. 118, in September. Roofing. It was so hot the shingles were melting.

As I think we’ve discussed before I’d love to try an antipodean Christmas in Australia or NZ. It would be so interestingly odd.
Not a huge fan of heat in general though - especially humidity. Singapore in July was tough for me (I’m compelled to walk a lot when I travel but it… cost me there).
I have no problem with cold weather except when it becomes difficult to eschew ice. Hate slipping.
