Did a playthrough of Battleborn with @nbrownlie237 and @Arsonist.
Enjoyed it. And if it’s the last I get to play of the game before the servers go down forever, I want to remember it like this…
God ■■■■■■■ bless us, every one.
Which one of 'em? There are many thousands to pick from
Random question: From Amun to Zeus, which god would y’all pick?
Yes.
I have one question: Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?
So obviously, there is but one answer. Pastafarian brothers and sisters, don your colanders, speak like a pirate, and wage holy war against the ninjas, all in his glorious name: the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
I’ve gotta be honest, I always thought he’d look more edible.
Apart from that, I should actually go play Battleborn one more time myself, I haven’t been back since near launch from recollection. I think there may be some content I never played, since I vaguely recall it had a season pass.
It’s a renaissance! (ba-dum-tish)
Still looks more like bean sprouts or calamari than pasta though. My stomach is not appreciating this.
I heard a thing on NPR the other day exploring the possibility that a lot of calamari is in fact, fried pig rectum.
That’s just Satan trying to steal Cthulhu’s thunder.
There’s no proof that this is the case, mind you. It’s just that a lot of people in the restaurant industry know that a) you can barely tell either of them apart when they’re deep fried and b) pig rectum is a lot cheaper than squid.
The deep fryer covers a multitude of sins and secrets…
Christmas decorating has come early this year. We both certainly felt the need to hygge as soon as December dropped.
The neighbours started with the lights a few weeks ago. We’ve now got all our light up and all the inside done, including a tree (with lights, but not ornaments - that would just be weird
).
A lot of the decorations we make : tree & shrub branches, holly, bits of lichen, crab apples, bare arbutus branches to hang stuff on, wreaths made from grape prunings, pine cones, bark, etc. We’ll take a backpack out to the forest - particularly after storms (we’ve had a lot) - and collect stuff that’s blown down.
The rest is pure Danish. The wife gets stuff every year from her mom.
We’ve already made our first batch of gløgg and æbleskiver, got mountains of chocolate (Toblerone, Lindt balls, ginger cookies, lebkuchen, brandy beans), had rice pudding.
We may just burn out on Christmas before Christmas.
Snowed here last night. It looks wet already. And I have to go out and pick some stuff up this morning.
Oh hey - forum-versary!
Yeah you’re gonna eat that cake aren’t you, you sexy little pig?
Actually, imma gonna eat a REAL cake. The fruit is soaking even as we speak.
mmmm soaking
I hung a hammock in my living room from the rafters. Reading myself to sleep in it with the woodstove going in the background is my new Covid lockdown jam.
Christmas tree is up, strong smell this year, though a bit short. Had trouble estimating the right height.
