IM A HELPER! YAAAAAY!

Also I could not just reply I’m a helper. Because of the 20 character limit.

But I totally am.

@Astrobleme what price range are you talking about? And is it for gaming or work?

@ThatOneGuy23 Price range is any. Applications work and mostly “work”. I just don’t want to get burned again by shoddy manufacturing. Such as a Toshiba satellite. Looking for reliability and endurance.

Lenovo might be good, their keyboards are among the best IMO. I use the Y510p, which is more for gaming but I’m sure you could get a good one for work

Testing to see if reply lockout is gone.

My normal reply here is don’t. Basically half the cost of a laptop is for being a laptop, this is in addition to the other problems with things like inferior performance, heating, and life. However, from what you say later, this is a work issue, which probably means a desktop isn’t even an option. In that case, my default suggestion is Sager, but that’s from the last time I did laptop research for someone. Which was… I think two years ago. So the situation may have completely changed. If you need an indepth answer, I’d have to do some checking I’m afraid.

Mine is an Acer. I picked it up a few years ago from newegg with some spare ram and a radeon card. Has always treated me right and only ran me about 900 at the time.

I’ve already got a tower capable of handling what I need. But lugging around 60+ pounds of gear is out of the question. Believe me keeping laptops cool is 2nd on the top of the list of must have.

This is the current laptop I’m aiming for. I need a mobile solution for heavy cpu/gpu use in short bursts. This looks like it fits the bill as it’s the got the specs I’m looking for with an impressive cooling array. Not to mention it’s asus and I really like their products. Have a casual asus MS office/minecraft laptop and it runs like a champ.

My year old laptop serves me well. runs everything I want it to run and it didn’t cost that much considering the hardware it has. Brand is Toshiba.

OH- don’t think I’ve forgotten about that gem!

Well, posting around here before I do my morning check through the GBX forums, since those aren’t loading, and this place is. Anyways…

@Astrobleme No experience with Asus laptops, but I’ve not had problems with their other products. On the other hand, I haven’t used that many, so take that as you will. Out of curiosity, what job are you using this for?

test you all suck

wanted to say how much I love you all
