Doesn’t matter. I’ve seen your face from the end of that video where you kill Crawmerax with a Phasestrike. You put your face in the camera and wave your tongue around before leaving the camera IIRC.

In other news, my computer case just arrived. I’m pleasantly surprised since I did the Free Shipping (3-7 business days) and ordered it yesterday. Now my coworker can help me pick out good parts that will fit in this thing.

A pic for the people who will inevitably ask:

We’ll wait for the pics when your PC is done.

A bonus for you guys is that this case has a side window, so I can show you the organs :P.

hehehehehe

I’d love to see pictures of your PC when you finish.

I know, this:

Was directed at you and xmngr :acmlol:

Side windows are indeed awesome :smile_cat:
Mine has one and it has a nice blue glow due to the MSI 780s in it :smile_cat:

But it’s only a picture of the box of your case, not your computer, silly.

780 SLI?
Nice rig you have there.

(rig showcase topic?)

You have to put many glowies inside! Glowies PC cooling fans woo!

I used to have a 120mm red LED fan on the top of my case, but it doesn’t fit anymore because my CPU heatsink is huge.

You know that you and xmngr are going to be among the first (and few) people I steam FR, right? :P.

Woo, another person I can try to kill with carrots on Digistruct Peak!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I play on OP0. I like the difficulty as is at that level. I may go up to OP1 or 2, but I’m happy where I am right now. I haven’t even run Digi on UVHM yet…

Still carrot-killable xD

@Omega59 I get carried away with my blue glowies. Blue glowies keyboard, mouse, case lights, fan. So much gloooooooooowiesssss. If only the guts were as awesome. This thing is hodgepodge and old xD

Yep :smile_cat:
It’s 2 MSI 780 Lightnings on an Asus Sabertooth Z87 with a i7-4770k Haswell quad core. PSU is a CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W psu so not too much room for overclocking IMO but that’s fine as I really don’t get too much improvement since in general the FPS are pretty high as is.
Only games that get low/odd FPS would be Borderlands 2 w/Physx as well as everything else set on high (dips into 30-45 range I think but only during intense firefights with lots of explosions), Risen 3 (the SLI profile is crap, it’ll use only ~75% of one card and 25% on the other some other bogus crap aka not utilizing the cards as much as they could, and Arkham Knight which is buggy for most people anyways so no worries there. Oh yeah, also a heavily modded Skyrim that’s using 2-4k textures for pretty much everything (I think certain fruits and lootables like garlic might be using default patch “high res” textures but that’s it)).

This is why I’m having a co worker help me with parts: This is all gibberish to me :acmomg:

The mobo is a Asus Sabertooth (series that has heat shield more or less on it) while the CPU is a 4770k Haswell (1150 socket so it has 1150 tiny pegs) and it’s being supplied by a 760W PSU (power supply unit). It should be enough to power my rig (IIRC the recommended minimum for a 780 on MSI’s website is around 450-500W range and an additional 250W for each card so in theory my PSU can handle it under “extreme” stress but just barely.)

Oh yeah, having someone help you put it together is definitely a good idea since it can be overwhelming/confusing.

Especially someone who got his degree in computers.

I think I’ve told enough about my PC. But it is a i7-4790 with a MSI GTX 970, 16 GB RAM DDR3 all in a Z97-PRO(WIFI ac) with an EVGA NEX750B2 PSU.
BL2 runs at 60fps with 1920*1080 resolution xD

I only need a SSD, a Firewire and eSATA cards and I’m done. I want an extra 3TB hard drive and a lower card for physics (a GTX650 probably), but that’d be in the future.

But since I’m unemployed and has been quite hard to find a job…
