So, lets get to the real discussion.

What’s everyone’s favorite Kirby Super Star power?

There are worse jobs, like being a waiter or being a trashman

Swallowing enemies to devour their very soul and then using their weapons agianst their friends and family.

Well yeah.

But what’s the best power for mass slaughter?

Lightsaber

Smash brothers and the things youve done.

I like plasma.

I never actually played a Kirby game

It was only a few days ago and already I’ve forgotten what I said. :confounded:

If it was about you it was probably something good though.

Superstar is really fun. Obscenely easy, but fun.

Oh look the r9 fury was on a MASSIVE sale for cheaper then a r9 390 and the STRIX version has been discovered to be able to be unlocked to a fury X…

Gratuitous self amusement? I confess to being quite a fan of it myself. There are so many ways to go about it.

I think it was about me wondering who was still around, maybe?

Regardless, how’s everyone doin’?! Been playing the good ol’ CoD:4 tonight and shredding people with the RPD and MP5. I have to admit, the Modern Warfare RPD just might be my favorite CoD weapon of all time… :sunglasses:

I’m still poking around in Destiny, not sure how I feel about it yet. I do like a lot of the art, the weapons look and feel solid.

At work, killing time till I have to start processing emails.

Past that, trying to not think that I have around 12 hours of office time left before I see star wars friday morning. And then dreading the trip down to SC ><

Just give it time and you’ll start to hate it, I assure you. The plot is too cliche’ and repetitive to offer any real excitement while progressing. It’s just grind, grind, grind. The more you play the more you’ll realize how many flaws there are with certain game mechanics too. The multiplayer is too gear dependent and classes were not optimized or balanced for PvP play as well as PvE. There’s also not much variety left with builds regarding what is and isn’t good 'cause the game has been out for so long now. Oh, and don’t forget the notoriously bad servers. Overall, the multiplayer is too broken to appeal to FPS fans and everything is way too watered down or monotonous to appeal to MMO fans.

However, as I said previously, I’m not tryin’ to hate and I hope you do end up enjoying it. I was so excited during its development and after a month or two of playing I was left dumbfounded. I didn’t think I’d ever feel so much resentment or confusion towards a video game lol. Bungie, how could you? You crushed our dreams. :persevere:

(Edit) Actually, I lied. There’s two other games that have left me dumbfounded or frustrated. I’ll give y’all a small hint: one of them is called Borderlands: 2 and the other is called Borderlands: The (not-so-witty) Pre Sequel.

See I can understand where you’re coming from here (partially since I wince a lot when playing console FPS in general), but I guess my lowered expectations make some things more tolerable for me. The BL2/TPS reference actually makes sense to me, since I think that part of why I enjoyed TPS so much was because I didn’t have as many expectations for it as BL2. Actually thinking it through, how much I’m anticipating something tends to effect how I judge it pretty extremely. Diablo 3 for example… You know what, no I’m not going there, that game really was broken at launch.

Regardless anyways, I’m enjoying myself so far, and if I stop having fun? Not a big deal, I’ll just drop it. Hell, it’s better than ESO (which was actually worse than I recall it being in beta possibly).

I completely agree that it’s all a matter of expectations and perspective. That said, it’s hard for me personally not to have high expectations from developers/companies like Bungie and Gearbox. This is especially true given the amount of marketing and hype they build up prior to release. You just end up feeling with a sense of betrayal, ya know? A small, hole-in-the-wall development team would be praised for a project like Destiny for sure because it would show a lot of promise. But when a developer already has an impressive reputation and collection of games, they don’t really deserve the benefit of doubt anymore. It’s like selling out.

I tend not to bother with high expectations these days, they just let me down even from developers I like. Admittedly it’s hard not to get excited, but it never ends well. Even CDProjekt Red let me down this year. That said, admittedly I don’t actually care about either Bungie or Halo in the first place anyways. I’ve only even played two of the Halo games.

see, this makes me love IT
