We know
That’s probably why you only saw him once. It’s easy to get him to pop out of one of the four midget boxes in the WEP, but he is incredibly rare anywhere else. Maybe it’s because every time the game decides to spawn a robot midget it has a chance of being Jimmy, and robot midgets are pretty commonplace there. I actually completed the Jenkins challenge three times already just by farming those four little boxes.
Getting back on topic, why don’t we make a list of those enemies? I just remembered a few others, but I’m leaving regular farmable bosses that are linked to mission objectives out of it. On to the list:
Friendly NPCs
- Michael Mamaril
Tubbies
- Tubby Skag
- Tubby Spiderant
- Tubby Stalker
- Tubby Varkid
- Tubby Rakk

Unique enemies that spawn randomly
- Muscles
- Jimmy Jenkins
- King Mong
- Donkey Mong
- Pimon
- Tumbaa
- Black Queen
- Mr. Bubbles
- Lil’ Sis
- Spiderpants
Unique enemies that are always at their spawn points
These aren’t rare at all, but they aren’t linked to any missions and the game never points them out for you.
- Mad Mike
- Son of Mothrakk
- Rakkman
- Savage Lee
- Bonehead 2.0
- Creeper/Badass Creeper
- Geary
- Warlord Slog
Unique enemies you get through evolving other types of enemies
- Vermivorous
- God-Liath
- Iron God
- King of the Orcs
- Omnd-Omnd-Ohk
Secret raid bosses

Legendary Loot Midget types

- Legendary Loot Midget Nomad
- Legendary Loot Midget Psycho
- Legendary Loot Midget Goliath
- Legendary Loot Midget Engineer
- Legendary Loot Midget Combat Engineer
- Legendary Loot Wee Gun Loader
- Legendary Loot Wee Jet Loader
- Legendary Loot Wee War Loader
I think these are all the unique enemies in the game. If you see any mistakes, omissions or have anything to add, let me know and I’ll update the list.
Don’t you have to encounter mad mike in the bloodshot strong hold?
Savage Lee always spawns near the bully mongs in that one area, but he has a chance to spawn near the fast travel station as well.
Yes, but if I remember correctly, there is no actual mission objective to kill him or any specific call out to his name during the mission. Am I wrong about that? That’s the only reason I decided to add him to the list and I actually considered leaving him out. If you people feel it’s wrong or confusing to have him listed, I’ll remove him.
You mean he can spawn at both places at the same time? If that’s the case, I’ll move him to the guaranteed spawns section. Actually, I think I’ll move him anyway. It makes a lot more sense. Do you know if Bonehead 2.0 and Mr. Bubbles/Lil’ Sis are guaranteed spawns?
EDIT: Moved Savage Lee to guaranteed spawns.
Yes he can. I believe Bone Head is a guaranteed spawn as well, but Mr. Bubbles and Lil’ Sis are not.
Loot Midget Psycho, Loot Midget Nomad, Loot Midget Goliath are the ones I can think of. Afaik, these enemies spawn like random enemies, instead of jumping out of a box. I believe this is also the case for Loot Midget Rats, but I could be wrong. I haven’t come across the Rat- or the Goliath version, but I’ve stumbled on the other two a couple of times.
Since they’re not jumping out of a box, I don’t think they have the same loot pool as LLM’s, or maybe I’ve just been unlucky.
In the Mines of Avarice I just saw a Spider Pants enemy- looked like a bandit with the lower half of a spider attached. Just wish I had remembered to take a screen shot or make a game clip of him…
That was included in response to a thread on the old forums. Someone made the typo “spiderpants” in a post, and it became a bit of a meme. There was considerable excitement when TTAoDK came out and someone discovered Spiderpants in the game.
I do wonder whatever became of the guy who made the typo in the first place, though…
You do, but it’s not a mission requirement i.e. he’s always there as a map spawn. Boll, on the other hand, only appears when you take “In Memoriam”: if you visit his lair before doing so, neither he nor his skags show up.
I know he always spawns. I just questioned it because he’s not “rare”
Hyperion: Wee WAR, JET and GUN midget loaders, LLM Combat Soldier and Engineer + J3NKN5
Bandits: LLM Marauder, Goliath, Psycho, Rat and Nomad.
Gut0nes, that is what I was talking about. I remember something in the old forums, I think, that was an Excel spreadsheet, or similar, that listed the “rare” enemies / encounters, like Michael in Sanctuary. Someone like BoneHead 2.0 is not a rare, because he is always there. Same with “Spiderpants”. They are around in Tina in UVHM, and maybe in TVHM. So not really rare. I’m thinking about Michael, Muscles, tubby bones, tubby Rakk, things like that. Things that you see and go, “what is that? Never seen that before”.
Ah, I think I know what you might be talking about! There was a drop-rates survey that included a lot of specific loot sources. I have a copy, and possibly a link, but on my laptop which is at home right now. I’ll check tonight, assuming no post-ninjas show up between now and then.
I honestly had no idea. I just assumed that when he showed up next to the fast travel, he wouldn’t be at his usual spot. I just never thought about checking both places when that happens.
Yeah, he’s not rare at all. I noted that on the list. I just included those enemies in a separate section because they have a unique name and since you have to be actively looking for them, you could easily miss them or confuse them with regular enemies. That’s all. Also, I feel it would be easier to separate the random spawns from the guaranteed spawns if we just listed all of the unique enemies in the game.
Is the Spiderpants guy really a thing? I honestly never seen him. Or never noticed it. See? That’s the point I was trying to make above. He is a random spawn, right? Like, he doesn’t have an actual fixed spawn point? Can multiples of him spawn at the same time, like a regular enemy?
There are a lot of unique enemies in the game, but not that many actually “rare” ones. I guess the only truly rare ones are maybe Muscles, those Loot Midgets that don’t come out of containers and Tubby Midgets. All of the others are pretty common and you’ll eventually bump into them. Just think of it as a list of unique enemies with a couple of really rare ones in there.
EDIT: Added those loot midget types to the list.
Yep. Supposedly the one near the FTS has a higher chance of dropping the Harold. Either way, if you notice red dots on your mini-map by there, you’ll know the 2nd Lee has spawned and you have an additional shot at a Harold.
I’ve come across Spiderpants 2-3 times in all my playthroughs, so he’s not always there. At least not for me.
I’m always dubious of such claims. I only kept track during the drop rate experiments, and I don’t have those notes any more, but I’m pretty sure I personally never got a Harold from that location. IIRC, he spawned there about 1 time in 10. The other thing I’ve noticed recently is that I’ve never had him spawn in his other area when I’ve been going through there on the mission to find Lt. Reese. So maybe he’s like Boll and only starts spawning there after that mission? Obviously, I’ll have to start another character to check this out!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in my own playthroughs, other than perhaps once? I’d definitely say he’s a rare spawn! Also, when the first screen shot of him was posted, a lot of folks were… incredulous.
There’s a side quest in the Mr Torque dlc that Sir Hammerlock gives you to get samples from a new form of rakk- and they’re all tubby rakks. If you take this into consideration then tubby rakks aren’t really rare- of course, in the main game and other areas I’ve only ever seen one, but that one side quest kind of skews their rarity IMO…
I have never seen Muscles. Of course after I do Thousand Cuts I leave it open for LLM farming…
Also have only seen tubby varkids, spiderants and bones…
Also Also only have seen the “normal” LLMs…
RNG!
