I know he always spawns. I just questioned it because heās not ārareā
Hyperion: Wee WAR, JET and GUN midget loaders, LLM Combat Soldier and Engineer + J3NKN5
Bandits: LLM Marauder, Goliath, Psycho, Rat and Nomad.
Gut0nes, that is what I was talking about. I remember something in the old forums, I think, that was an Excel spreadsheet, or similar, that listed the ārareā enemies / encounters, like Michael in Sanctuary. Someone like BoneHead 2.0 is not a rare, because he is always there. Same with āSpiderpantsā. They are around in Tina in UVHM, and maybe in TVHM. So not really rare. Iām thinking about Michael, Muscles, tubby bones, tubby Rakk, things like that. Things that you see and go, āwhat is that? Never seen that beforeā.
Ah, I think I know what you might be talking about! There was a drop-rates survey that included a lot of specific loot sources. I have a copy, and possibly a link, but on my laptop which is at home right now. Iāll check tonight, assuming no post-ninjas show up between now and then.
I honestly had no idea. I just assumed that when he showed up next to the fast travel, he wouldnāt be at his usual spot. I just never thought about checking both places when that happens.
Yeah, heās not rare at all. I noted that on the list. I just included those enemies in a separate section because they have a unique name and since you have to be actively looking for them, you could easily miss them or confuse them with regular enemies. Thatās all. Also, I feel it would be easier to separate the random spawns from the guaranteed spawns if we just listed all of the unique enemies in the game.
Is the Spiderpants guy really a thing? I honestly never seen him. Or never noticed it. See? Thatās the point I was trying to make above. He is a random spawn, right? Like, he doesnāt have an actual fixed spawn point? Can multiples of him spawn at the same time, like a regular enemy?
There are a lot of unique enemies in the game, but not that many actually ārareā ones. I guess the only truly rare ones are maybe Muscles, those Loot Midgets that donāt come out of containers and Tubby Midgets. All of the others are pretty common and youāll eventually bump into them. Just think of it as a list of unique enemies with a couple of really rare ones in there.
EDIT: Added those loot midget types to the list.
Yep. Supposedly the one near the FTS has a higher chance of dropping the Harold. Either way, if you notice red dots on your mini-map by there, youāll know the 2nd Lee has spawned and you have an additional shot at a Harold.
Iāve come across Spiderpants 2-3 times in all my playthroughs, so heās not always there. At least not for me.
Iām always dubious of such claims. I only kept track during the drop rate experiments, and I donāt have those notes any more, but Iām pretty sure I personally never got a Harold from that location. IIRC, he spawned there about 1 time in 10. The other thing Iāve noticed recently is that Iāve never had him spawn in his other area when Iāve been going through there on the mission to find Lt. Reese. So maybe heās like Boll and only starts spawning there after that mission? Obviously, Iāll have to start another character to check this out!
I donāt think Iāve ever seen him in my own playthroughs, other than perhaps once? Iād definitely say heās a rare spawn! Also, when the first screen shot of him was posted, a lot of folks were⦠incredulous.
Thereās a side quest in the Mr Torque dlc that Sir Hammerlock gives you to get samples from a new form of rakk- and theyāre all tubby rakks. If you take this into consideration then tubby rakks arenāt really rare- of course, in the main game and other areas Iāve only ever seen one, but that one side quest kind of skews their rarity IMOā¦
I have never seen Muscles. Of course after I do Thousand Cuts I leave it open for LLM farmingā¦
Also have only seen tubby varkids, spiderants and bonesā¦
Also Also only have seen the ānormalā LLMsā¦
RNG!
Iāve never encountered Spiderpants in all my time playing this game, but I just did a TTAODK playthrough and I bumped into two Tubby Bones just by doing the missions. I wasnāt even looking for them. So Spiderpants is most definitely not always there, and based solely on my personal experience with the game, Iād say heās rarer than Tubby Bones. Iāve also encountered a lot of Tubby Rakks while playing the game. I donāt think theyāre any rarer than other types of Tubbies, itās just that players usually donāt pay that much attention to Rakks and not a lot of people would prefer to farm them for Tubbies instead of Spiderants or Skags. In the end, thatās why I decided to list all of them. RNG performs in mysterious ways and different players could have different experiences when it comes to ārareā spawns.
EDIT: Added Spiderpants to the list in the random spawns section.
Yup, Iāve got several Harolds from Savage Lee by the Fast Travel. Heās never in the Marrowfields until youāve done the mission to rescue Reese, but will always be there afterwards, ābondingā with the friendly Bullymongs.
Iād like to know more about Jimmy Jenkins. There must be an interesting backstory there. Shame you have to kill him straight awayā¦
Heās always there. Guess I have another small thing to test.
Leroy Jenkins!
Tha⦠thank you.
Anytime. It was an Internet meme for awhile.
There are an awful lot of memes in Borderlands 2 that are beyond my ken, though I do take pride in being able to catch the Shakespeare and occasional T. S. Eliot references
Wait, what the heck is a āSpiderpantsā?
a mix between @Psychichazard , a psycho, an spiderant and a spider.
