Rare Spawns? Why?

Rare enemies are fun… the point of borderlands is grinding for new “rare” stuff. Not being hand held and given anything u want. Jfc the game is easy enough as it is. Corny

Rare spawns were a fun farm in Borderlands 2 for me and I do like the randomness of it. It makes seeing the rare spawn that much more exciting and if the item drops it is even that much better.

BUT…that was Borderlands 2…BL3 is just plain boring to me and farming is boring. It isn’t the same.

Apparently people want special drops every time a boss/rare spawn dies and apparently they want 2-3 drops per mob.

I find that exciting for about 10 kills…then it is just plain boring because I have nothing to work toward anymore. At this point in BL3 my bank is full as is my character.

I don’t mean anything bad by this, but maybe BL3 is for people with shorter attention spans, because I can go back to BL2 right now and get more enjoyment then playing BL3 after only a month.

They could improve the rare spawn experience by having regular enemies spawn in the spot if the rare spawn didn’t so it won’t be a trek for nothing. Although I am sure plenty of people would still just save quit at the moments notice they see that the rare spawn isn’t there.

I know most people probably do this, for me in BL2 I had kind of a path I would follow that took me through rare spawn points as well as some bosses and such.

I can’t explain why it is different for me, but combat in BL2 was more fun. Before people scream at me, keep in mind I do think combat is better “mechanically” in BL3, but combat was more fun in BL2.

Maybe it was the classes? Krieg was just simply OMG fun to play as melee and it made every bandit camp exciting. Maya was a very fun Siren class and I loved her skills and skills like bullets splitting to hit other enemies.

It just isn’t the same, and the more I talk about it the more I think the classes in BL3 just aren’t as exciting. People can NOT blame it on nostalgia because I loved BL1 and thought Mordecai was a blast, but when I played BL2, I forgot about the classes in BL1 and was blown away with what you could achieve in BL2 with them.

Now in BL3 they have taken a step backwards. Nothing to do with the balancing issues, I just don’t find the classes as fun. So maybe the issue is simply that the classes in BL3 aren’t fun enough to want to run a path and clear a ton of mobs.

At least get rid of World Drops from their loot pools. If I see a legendary drop, I will get excited knowing that its a dedicated drop.

because there is no reason for it and it makes farming more boring and frustrating

Exactly this has been something I’ve been clamoring for eliminating world drops from enemies that have a dedicated pool. It is so frustrating to farm a enemy 3 hours plus and loot drops that have nothing to do with that said enemy drop instead of what your farming for. Not to mention the drop chance seems so remote it is exhausting. While I have no problem farming I do however have a issue with what I’ve stated.
