I’d recommend playing Rath if you are having trouble fighting him.
Once you figure out what situations a Rath looks for you can do 2 things:
- Not give him the situations he is looking for.
- Know when he’s going to strike and counter his move with a well timed CC.
Rath will punish you if you disrespect his ability to zero you out… so maybe you just need to learn some discipline and not position yourself so aggressively…
Compared to other melee characters Rath’s basic melee is actually fairly weak. It’s deadwind that deals incredible damage in a brief window. If you can even partially counter the effectiveness of deadwind you can really keep Rath in check.
Also, if you hate Rath consider which champions you are playing. Rath loves Thorn and Oscar Mike because they squish easily and have no hard CC or escape. If you start playing characters like Benedict and Toby, you can escape his Deadwind with air mobility.
There are a lot of characters that can keep Rath in check. They just aren’t the backdoor cheese champions that you play. Maybe change your play style a bit and adapt.
otherwise only Rath mains would argue. I personally find him useless in a map like overgrowth, as opposed to… Most melee characters.
I understand even though I don’t understand. I can kill him with anyone from Oscar Mike to Caldarius to Ambra. Okay, Ambra might be a stretch, after all her nerfs…
