You have a mini-map that reports to you the positions of enemy heroes… use it… Rath has no way to hide from it.
You have terrain that makes it much more difficult for melee champions to get to you… use it…
You have area of denial abilities that will do incredible amounts of dps to enemies that attack you while standing in them… use it…
You have team mates that have CC or larger health pools that can intercept or interrupt Rath… use it…
You have sentries that will melt an enemy hero in a matter of seconds if someone chases you into it… use it…
You have the ability to sprint and run at a drastically increased pace… use it…
Maybe Rath isn’t the problem as much as you not using everything in your disposal.
Also saying “I have no CC at my disposal” suggests to me that you only play one character as a main. The game has some degree of “rock paper scissors” balance. Certain characters have favorable matchups against others in 1 v 1 settings. Maybe you ought to experience some other characters… maybe ones with CC.
Give Montana or Benedict a try once and you’ll find that Raths bother you a lot less.
Rath eats noobs… the majority of players are noobs. So yes Rath probably is OP in a casual environment. But if you personally don’t want to fall victim to Rath… stop being a noob.
otherwise only Rath mains would argue. I personally find him useless in a map like overgrowth, as opposed to… Most melee characters.
I understand even though I don’t understand. I can kill him with anyone from Oscar Mike to Caldarius to Ambra. Okay, Ambra might be a stretch, after all her nerfs…
