Characters in stories change.
I suggest actually reading books from time to time.
Were the technology ever discovered, wouldn’t it be their choice to decide to use it (Gaige and Hammerlock)?
(…or rather, the game developers…).
As such, Gaige would be the mom by then, raising kids, the spot Moxxie filled in the current games (she would most likely be a grandmother by then… Brick and Ellie? He even said, “I’d punch that…”.).
Gaige would be passing the torch to her progeny, she wouldn’t be the playable character in BL3.
As to Hammerlock choosing his own life’s choices… I’m just running with what Gaige said in the DLC… "but if Hammerlock ever switches sides, I am so lookin’ that down."
People with common conditions finding common ground creating a friendship, love blossoming…
I feel sad for anyone who’s so small minded that they think sexual preference isn’t a choice.
The mind and the brain are what a person uses to decide what they do.
So go tell a paralyzed man in a wheelchair he can never compete in a marathon.
Go tell anyone with a physically limiting genetic disorder that they’re less of a person and therefore aren’t entitled to pursue life to their fullest rather than wallowing in pity for their physical condition.
No one puts a gun to someone’s head and says, “this is the only choice you get in life and you will accept it.”
If somewhere down the road Hammerlock’s fancies and interests changed and he desired to sire children, why is it so sadly gaddam difficult for some people to accept, “people have their own right to decide what they want to pursue and do throughout their life” ?
That they shared a common physical condition would bring the initial friendship.
But to be so damn close minded that, “well by the current story, he’s gay, so he could NEVER EVER fall in love with a female” is an absolute total crock of horse sh*t.
Too many small minded binary-thinking people in the world, acting like everyone should only ever be entitled to two choices and no other, and never entitled to change and choose otherwise later, as their experiences and desires shape and change their aspirations and pursuits thru life…?
THAT is what’s messed up, yo.
