So just downloaded the game and cant find any matches, the few people in the Lobby I can see are also from South Africa from their gamer tags, does the game only match in our region? If it does there is no way for me to play it, is there anyway to expand the region?
My wild and uninformed guess is that theyāre trying to keep lag down, by placing you on that server.
I donāt know whether or not there will be an option to change this.
That is what I was worried about, wanted to test the latency on other servers, But if we dont get international servers it will be unplayable
Hiya, Fellow South African here. suffering the exact same problem, if they keep this āfeatureā Then the game will be dead is SA before it even launches.

Homeworld had the same problem, but hw is a rts so you donāt really need ultra low ping like in a FPS, anyway, if you wanna give a try you can change you steam region (settings> download) to try to get in another region server, worked in hw, might work here, but this can make you suffer with lag.
Lag to Europe isnāt too bad for us, ill definitely give this a try, thanks!
