well so far i have made it to Jacks daughter… GOOD LORD… that is one of the worse boss fights i have ever been in i just cant even dent her… and im using a level 72 bee and level 70 ukh… keep throwning spiders at me… and even with a 72 level grog for heath… im just running around in a panic… there are about 12 to 24 spiders at a time just smashing me … perhaps an at level bitch or a CC… will do work… i guess its about crowd control… but death trap is not great with big numbers… i wonder if i should respec… into anarchy for this…

She’s obnoxious.

Try 26/26/15, rock a good Melee shield so DT gets the roid damage bonus. Keep the Harold, use slag guns to charge DT and to keep the daughter slagged, use a higher damage weapon for direct damage on her. Maybe juggle Discord to keep Anarchy from getting TOO high, and use a Pimpernel on her.

The Bee really doesn’t have the capacity to help you survive this fight- get an adaptive shield if you can (an Antagonist would be even better, as would an Evolution) or an alkaline shield. The UH needs to be boosted with a Sheriff’s Badge to offset the slow rate of fire, that or switch to a Fibber or Lady Fist if you have them. Use transfusion grenades to keep your health up too. As a last resort for a shield you can try either a Black Hole or WTF- with the number of spiders crawling around both could come in handy…

She is dead!! yep… best strat is to get an offensive shield… i used a purple blast shield. explosive spikes and just ran around in circles to keep away from here boost heath with grog… i went to pyro so now i have 620 tokens… thinking a 72 ukh would be good but i have a 2 70 lv… i know know about Antagognist shiield… i guess i can pickup a lady fist… i cold have just gone after a flame of fire hawlk i may do that before the big Jack fight… this 72 lv keep is going to be rough… yep… that was tough… at least for my current build… and to top it all off not a single weapon drop… just bricks and class mods… not cool.

bit of a follow up… i now have my very first character… zero about to catch the train in tundra in UVHM… i have at level Storm and bee and CC and UKH… level 61 and 62… so far this was one of the most fun characters in UVHM… as long as you have a magic M… that storm just wrecks face… whish i could find more of those pearl weapons… dont know about going after seraph crystals yet… best guaidian to farm in UVHM?

I went through the UVHM main game with Zero in co-op, so you have taken him farther solo than I have. Getting through the Firehawk lair wave fight must have been interesting. It sounds like you have some pretty solid gear for him, and I can assure you that farming current gear solo is very, very easy with Zero. You can speed it up a little by using a second controller and account to keep the turn in for specific quests open (Pimpernel leaps out as an obvious choice). That allows you to farm the turn in so that you always have current versions.

Honestly, though… I genuinely enjoy jumping into some areas to do farming runs. I love farming the Forest for Bee shields, and very frequently pull blue and purple sniper rifles out of there, as well as blue and purple class mods. The Dust run is another favorite. Tubbies, Maggie, White Death/Lyuda, Gwen’s Head… so much good stuff to grab there, and it’s FUN.

well, Pete is dead… but… its such a slog there must be a more easy way of getting seraph crystals… if there was only some way to trap pete but he always jumps down… and i cannot damage him much at all even with at level gear… did the gernade jump thing and he just jumps up at me… there must be a cheese zone… or safe spot he is just impossible to solo at level 72 or there is some trick i have not thought of… any ideas how to solo pete in uvhm? any one?

I don’t quite remember which char you played as, but this method works for any class. It’s necessary to avoid most of the novas, since the enemies that spawn in the waterfalls get stronger for each time you do it. Use the scaffolding to block line of sight when he releases his novas. If you’re hit by a nova, use the waterfall opposite the scaffolding. Spiderants don’t carry guns. Rats do! Shock or explosive weapons work best against him. If you have a Trespasser, you can pop his helmet at the start to get the crits. Otherwise you have to wait until the shield is down.

When you initially jump down into the arena, there are a couple of very wide pipes to your right. After you hit the switch, run to the space between the two pipes and jump up where the right hand one meets the back ledge. There’s a glitch where if you keep mashing the jump button you will eventually land on the ledge (alternatively, of course, just grenade jump up here).

That pipe will act as your shield for Pete’s novas - they cannot get you if you make sure they break your line of sight to him once you hear the tell-tale sound that precludes the attack. In between novas, make sure you have something to slag him with (Magic Missiles work great) and then hit him with the most powerful weapons you have, of course utilising Shock to bring his shields down. Until you get The Bee and a Sandhawk this will be a very long and boring fight, but once you make it up to the ledge the danger is pretty much gone.

Pete will try and jump up at you on the ledge. This can be a good thing. Wait until he is fully on the ledge - this is important! - before you jump down off it. He will not be able to jump down again from this spot, just patrol back and forth up and down the ledge, leaving you the added benefit of being able to grab extra ammo, too. Just be careful that you still keep the pipe between you and him when he does his novas. From there it’s just a question of grinding him down. It’s essential to aim for his head to score crits, but your biggest danger will be running out of ammo, especially if you don’t have The Bee.

If you are level 72 as your post suggests then I strongly recommend you do the Scarlett DLC to get the Sandhawk. If you get a Shock variant, like I did, it will tear down his shields as well as his health in no time. If you don’t have a Shock one, then a good alternative for his shields is a Shock Pimpernel from the same DLC. Finally, take a trip to The Forest in the Tina DLC to equip The Bee. You won’t have to farm the Treants long to get one.

With a Sandhawk, The Bee and a good Shock weapon and using the strategy above Pete will go down in a matter of minutes. IIRC with my Maya using a Leg Cat COM and a Shock Sandhawk it takes 2-3 minutes max.

If you have proper gear I think its a waste to do that glitch jump, just shoot, move, shoot, kill.

hey all, thanks for the instructions… i blew through a bank roll in new U… i at the point in Capt Scarlet where she gives me the Sand Hawlk… i keep trying to get the shock flying… but it never comes up and its a bit of a drag to keep booting out of game back in to game and “what will it be this time” but it seems important so i will get the sand hawlk… pete is just too much of a sponge… idunno… perhaps if capt scarlet drops a shock hawlk… thing will turn around… i did run the loot train to fund my pete fails… and got a perl maggie kinda gun… seems cool but fires slowish…

Personally, I wouldn’t get too hung up on the flying prefix. The shock element is most important. Personally, I can only stand to hear Scarlett say “Herbert… ughh.” so many times, lol.

tell me about it… its such a drag to farm a quest item… i got a sapping shock sandhawlk… thats the only electric one she would give me… slag, flying, stoic, fire, reserved… but i got an electric finally… hope this cuts in to pete well enough.,…

There are other guns, you know… Like @joe_king says: “The shock element is more important.” At least for the shielded phase. Any good SMG will do the job. UKH or a shock Anarchist will also tear him up pretty fast. The Bee is more important than the gun, actually. It will shorten the fight significantly. The Beehawk and a Legendary Cat, if you’re playing as Maya, is borderline overkill at level 72 imo.

Sounds like the Unforgiven. Very powerful! Congrats!

Perhaps, but if you are struggling then it’s pretty much a guaranteed way of getting the job done

It will do. That and The Bee and the fight shouldn’t take long!

If you are doing quests, then it’s nice to have more of a challenge. But if you are simply farming, then doing the same thing over and over can get tedious pretty quickly. In that case I’m more than happy to have anything that will shorten the fight. The more OP the better IMO.

When I want tokens quickly, I’ll drop down into TVHM and farm the Bar Room. Getting 600+ tokens is boring enough without making each run any longer or harder than necessary.

No argument there! When I farm, I want it to be quick , easy and painless. I was just trying to say that if you just want Pete dead, there are other options that are also very powerful. The Sandhawk isn’t necessary.

For farming, you’re probably better off using Sal and one of the many overpowered glitches and exploits you can do with him, and kill whichever boss you’re farming in a few seconds.

its still a bit of a slog… but i have a method now… i can kill him off is about 20 min… and its a boring fight… just jump up between the 2 Pipes… columns, wait for him to get stuck… this involves just allowing him to really get in your face… but when he goes for his nova attacks… dont look at him… just stare straigh ahead… once he is stuck. then drop down below the pipes… and tear into him with a shock weapon… followed by UKH… the thing that will kill you more then pete is the 83 level spiders… always go for valuve 1… . i have a level 61 sal and he is great fun, he is at the cauldron right now… perhaps i should just take him to Carnage right now… i did just get some booster shield from pete boom something, and a slag and corrosive gernade mod … im sure im playing it way safe and could take him down more aggressive but this 82 level spiders just are no fun, best play way safe right now…

bit more follow up…ok, so now i have all my characters up to at least l54 in UVHM… after a huge fire sale of level 30 and bellow legendary weapons… that really hurt… i just could not get rid of a few… im pretty sure the magic number for starting UVHM with the least amount of pain is level 53… assuming you have the Marcus DLC… and Tiny Tina… once you can put a bee together with a 53 UKH and a 50 lv magic M… most every thing will fall away… all the way to sanctuary even all the way to bright lights… i do have a question though… it seems as though the UKH will only drop at level 53 and the next level is 61 and then well 70 to 72… i was never able to get lee to drop a 56 or high 50s… but about 20 trys and he will pop up a 53 even though he is 56… perhaps the 53 is just strong enough to power through to level or so where lee will pop up another ukh at level… i dont know if this true… now i have 105 crystals from pete so its getting time to window shop… what is the must have seraph item from the vendors? or is even woth the effort… i hear that seraph weapons for the most part are just weaker legendary…
