Rip farming the chest in cistern of slaughter for the red chest event

amazing how quickly gearbox patches things that are beneficial to the player yet we still have other more glaring issues with the game. not angry about it, but it’s disheartening not to see the same effort put into improving the game.

Well let’s be honest here, that glitch was NEVER intended to work that way and largely wasn’t too popularized until the red chest event.

i’m not even doing the event :sweat_smile:

much easier farming for specific gear… especialy in the DLC… if the main game would only have those drop rates people would actualy farm other enemies then graveward/gigamind or stuff

And the funny thing is none of this matters long term since the level cap will make everything we get obsolete. If anything GBX should help players get all the perfect gear they want so they will become attached it them and keep playing to get them all over again when the cap is increased :slight_smile:

Yea sitting afk and waiting to chain-open the same red chest instead of playing/enjoying the game, how dare they patch that.

You can make a road map, go through all maps to open your chests, fight vault bosses and get red chests, killavolt, Katagawa, Warden, Slaughtershaft/Cistern, Maliwan raid when you get bored, DLC final boss gives you a treasure room with 2 red chests. And chests are very generous. Just play the game instead of cheesing it.

The load times on consoles and box not resetting issue made this the only real viable farm outside the droughts every 45 min. I mean what is the difference for players who are able to reset every save quit at Reliance and this. PC load times on high end machines are about the run back and forth from the button and wall.

Cistern glitch was ridiculous… having to wait 45 minutes for these red chests to respawn is moronic. Took all the fun out of this event in my opinion.

This event is too early, should’ve started after the level cap is raised to help players get decent gear when they reach the new level cap.

totally agree, but all the performance problems were never intended either, we can see how quickly gearbox has fixed those.

agree, I do play the game instead of cheesing it, I think you’re missing the point of the thread. it’s about what gets fixed first versus all the other actual important fixes that have yet to be addressed. thanks for replying though.

true, I totally agree. very boring indeed.

Didn’t realise they fixed this glitch, until I saw this post. Did they also fix the annoying glitch that causes the rakk to get stuck outside the map and unable to be killed? Or were they (once again) too focused on killing good glitches and ignoring the bad glitches?

They probably aren’t.

Some things are easier to fix than others and the box in the Cistern strikes me as something an intern could track down and fix.

From reading the replies here it’s not that people don’t understand your point, they just think you’re making a mountain out of a molehill.

Nope. That ■■■■■■■■ is still there, Rakks getting glitched in/behind walls is the main reason I steer clear of Cistern.

I recently started a Zane though and was there farming for different Maggie’s and my runs for glitched 2/5 times.

Too bad Gearbox can’t be as quick to respond to this bullpoo.

if you look at the post above this one, this proves my point exactly. the rakk getting stuck outside the map thusly making the encounter impossible to complete is still not fixed but the chest exploit was.why not fix both at the same time, as the rakk problem has been known for a while. :man_shrugging: I’m not trying to make this a huge deal, but if devs want to retain players, fixing these issues along with exploits that help the players would be a good thing.

this proves my point exactly.

Hard to play the game/even do that glitch when enemies will vanish off the map, become invincible for no reason, things fall through the floor, things vanish from inventory and banks ect ect

I understand you completely. The point does not need illustrating further, it’s not rocket science. I personally would like them to fix their physics engine so I wouldn’t punt small bosses off the map on a fairly regular basis. What I’m not doing though is getting worked up over easy stuff being fixed before more difficult stuff.

I’ve seen this mentioned in a lot of places already, but I’ve never seen it.

I open any red chest, restart the game, return to the red chest. It is closed.

Am I missing something?

Wow, i have to agree. I never even heard about this glitch till after it was fixed. They wasted no time at all nerfing that, if only they worked as fast with more important issues.
