Rise of the Lore Legendaries

I know
just playin bud

Running with his Genetic Syphon, Leechsteel Brooch, and Lenore’s Lament would probably be ridiculous

Oh fudge, I remember the very first Lore Leggy I got was S&A’s and I used it on them for a while and I thought it was pretty nifty. Nuking somebody with a Boomerang as they run might actually be fun again! Huzzah!

I’m loving some of the lore legendaries!

WF is still the best in the game in my opinion, Kelvin with max shield gear makes his awesome, I personally love OM’s as it allows you to play an assassin style and I’ve always used Montana’s.

Would probably consider using Rath’s and Attikus’ now. As someone else pointed out previously, Atti’s legendary let’s his Ultimate slow people without stacks.

Thorn’s is still odd. I preferred it when its main stat was Crit Damage, not Skill Damage, because it fit better into my loadout, but it’s at least usable now. Although I still think the time to curse arrows needs to be further reduced to make it more viable.

You can heal any overshielded target, not just the one given by Reyna.

Unless i am mistaken, you can no longer chain-stun and get a 4-second stun with the Double Hug. In addition to it’s primary cooldown stat, i take the “mines, mines, mines!” mutation at lvl. 9 (20%), and even all that only drops the cooldown between the first and second mine to 3 seconds. So, unless the player that you hit with the first mine decides to stand still after the stun wears off (and some sadly do), you actually have to work for the follow-up stun. Still deadly in the hands of a Toby main though, and the only thing that makes me a threat to my higher-skilled friends on PSN (most of them).

Is it me or is the title of this thread something we should propose to George Lucas as the next Star Wars plot? :dukestar:

It makes his mine have a ~3.36 cooldown by default. That means you have ~1.36 seconds to react to the best ranged stun in the game.

  • Massive range
  • Massive hitbox
  • Good velocity
  • Probably the best AoE skill in the game
  • Short default cooldown
  • Etc…

When I’m playing characters like Shaurox on the frontlines, I can’t just use Claw Lunge and magically disappear like Mellka can (she’d probably be dead after the first stun). I have to run back to my team, whilst Toby’s team smells blood in the water.

Add in his level 9 and it goes down to ~0.7 seconds of reaction time. All while you are immobile infront of one of the best and most accurate primary damage dealers in the game.

Huh… Well, it certainly SEEMS like it takes a bit longer than that, but you posted numbers- Scary, non-negotiable numbers!

Yes, a skilled Toby who hits lvl. 4 is to be feared, certainly, and is the bane of melee. Still… Seeing as he has five hard counters that absolutely shred him in equally skilled hands, and can be forced out of lane by any skilled ranged character, be deserves something devastating to fight back with. Plus, as you kinda said, Toby needs a team to capitalize on the stuns to really make it fearsome; though Toby can shred most squishes unfortunate enough to be within range when he isn’t getting focused, admittedly.

You have to remember Double hugs has -10.5% cooldown time itself.

15*(1-0.105)*(1-0.75) = 3.35625 - 2 sec stun = 1.35625

15*(1-0.105)(1-0.20)(1-0.75) = 2.685 - 2 sec stun = 0.685

True, I’m fine with his stun. But Double Hugs was and still is the only aspect of this game since launch, that I have considered to be “broken”.

And he doesn’t need his team to capitalize on his stun, in the slightest. Plus, you don’t have to always kill the enemy in Battleborn to win the fight.

I think it is fine now, but wholeheartedly agree that it was cancerous before the nerf.

I meant in a hard-fought match; the only kind that really matter. I don’t know about you, but RARE is the match where i am allowed to sit close enough to the stunned enemy to fully capitalize on both stuns, as their teammates usually scare me off. Hop in lane, stun a player, retreat; that seems to be my life playing frontline Toby, most of the time.

Very true, and i know it quite well from the matches where i am kept out of lane to the point where it is essentially a 4v5.
