Using that logic, the Build you used in your Video would also not count as a “genuine” build. Why? Because you had 5 points in Embrace the Pain, and you had a Rough Rider Shield equipped; resulting in a constant +35% Fire Rate. IIRC, there are COMs for Krieg that would further increase the Fire Rate beyond +35%. That would also technically count as an exploit. And any Krieg build that has Empty the Rage, Embrace the Pain and / or Salt the Wound, that also uses a Rough Rider shield, would not count as genuine. Any Gaige Build that has points in Cooking Up Trouble and uses an Infinity Pistol and optionally a Necromancer COM to counter points in Smaller, Lighter, Faster would also not count as genuine, since it would allow Gaige to regen health simply by swapping to the Infinity Pistol. Any Axton Build that has points in Crisis Management and a Rough Rider Shield would also not count as genuine, since it would grant a constant +35% (or even greater with a COM) Gun Damage and +30% (or greater with a COM) Melee damage.
Any Salvador Build that has points in All Out of Bubblegum (paired with a Rough Rider Shield would not count as genuine, since it would grant a +35% (or greater with a COM) constant Fire Rate. Also, any Salvador Build that has points in Money Shot (Up to 11/5 Money Shot with the right COM) and uses an Explosive Rocket Launcher, a Pimpernel (Slag) and a Relic that boosts Explosive damage where the player has only 1 Rocket left would not count as genuine, since the player could shoot the Pimpernel (Slag) while Gunzerking and do massive damage (including Explosive damage) to the target. I actually remember watching a YouTube video of a Sal player on Lvl 72 OP0 doing just that. He managed to kill all 4 Ancient Dragons of Destruction in less than 25 seconds. Yes, all 4 of them. IIRC, the Rough Rider shield is among the top shields for both Krieg and Salvador.
Since I main Maya and don’t want to come off as biased, any Maya Build that has points in Fleet (ideally 11/5) and uses a high level Rough Rider Shield paired with a low level Breakneck Banshee COM (to minimize health loss) would also not count as genuine, since it allows Maya to potentially have up to a constant +110% movement speed. The Fleet + Rough Rider Shield + Breakneck Banshee COM is very common / popular, especially when farming in Normal or TVHM for things like rare heads or skins or even other drops from some Bosses.
For the record, I don’t consider any of these to be actual exploits. Gearbox created the different character’s skills and created items (examples: Rough Rider Shield and Infinity Pistol) that can synergize particularly well with some of those skills. Players can choose to take advantage of that synergy or not take advantage of that synergy. Maya players can take advantage of Chain Reaction and legitimately one shot certain Bosses like BNK3R and Saturn (on PC, Xbox One and PS4 at least) and Zer0 players can do the same using B0re using a Pimpernel (Corrosive). No Bee shield is required, although it certainly helps.
An example of what I consider to be actual exploits include the “Flying Sanctuary Powerlevel” which requires breaking the boundary of the game, item duping, weapon “merging” and I don’t mean what Sal does when he Gunzerks, and Maya’s “Immolate Glitch” just to name a few. There are probably a few others, but those are the main ones I could think of.
