Roland's GOTY Enhanced Skills

Hey guys,

After reading differents forums including this one, I was not able to find if the GOTY Enhanced Edition had fixed the Roland’s bugged skills from the vanilla game ?

As far as I knew, Metal Storm could be counter productive if too much specced in and Barrage had similar issues too.

Please let me know if you have any info about this

Thank you very much !

You might find this link usefull it appears this is a big issue to other players

The link below this one is a link to the gearbox support page where you can be helped and fill out just a little bit of info and restarting youre console pc or whatever could help too. Edit: I’m always glad to help community members
Edit: Always go to the wiki & The forums first if you recieve a helpfull message or tips try to do them . Then if it doesn’t work call gearbox or search it up. Youtube / Google are very easy ways of finding info.

Thank you @ttrejo !

Unfortunately I was already aware of how COMs are working with Skills.

My question is about Skills being broken in the vanilla game and if they were fixed with the Enhanced Edition ? (with or without COMs mod)
I didn’t found any info about that

What was the actual failure mode? In theory, it should be something easily reproducible: use the skill with and without a COM, and look for a difference?

Not sure about Roland specifically, but there’s a collection of things that have and have not been fixed here:

It looks like folks haven’t explored Roland’s gear and skills too much yet. I’d echo Ada’s question a bit and ask, what specific Roland skills were you concerned about? My Roland just hit max level, so I don’t mind tweaking his build around to test things out a bit (although I’d need a volunteer to help test whether the turret revive thing worked now!)

Hey thanks for your answers guys, I’ll have a look to this thread too ^^

pretty much those ones :

I was awake, I swear!

Anyway, all I have to go from right now is this ported skill guide:

From the description there, I would guess the biggest issue with boosting fire rate would have been the fact that there are limits to what can be achieved based on frame rate.

Particularly for the old consoles which were hard capped to 30 fps, only fire rates that where integer fractions of the FR could actually be realised in practice; increments in FR between these specific values were basically wasted points.

Modern PCs long since passed the place where that meant anything, and the XB1 and PS4 are now happily chugging along at 60 FPS (for the most part) so I don’t see that being an issue.

Barrage: from the description, I’m not sure if this is the same issue or something different. However I do remember being pointed to an old thread on the skill a while back, and I need to investigate that myself. Give me another nap or two and I might have something on it!
