it’s a grenade that acts a bit like a transfusion, but replenishes shield instead of health. It also regenerates grenade ammo over time.

Also, is the Fabled Tortoise in TPS, or is it just being compared to the one from BL2 because they’re both high-end turtle shields?

Ditto, I’ve had both and the gun is definitely the better deal. The grenade isn’t anything special in my opinion.
I love this shield though, it can take a beating, the only drawback is the delay of the charge which can be somewhat negated by class mods and certain action skills.
Picking the shield though you will definitely miss out on one of the most powerful beam lazers in the game (though it has a short travel distance). Tennis’ lazer just destroys non shielded enemies, hell it does pretty good against shielded enemies too.
Tannis’ Laser of Enlightment is… I dunno tbh.
It feels a bit like a laser version of the Hellfire. Though, I don’t care much for it because I got the Thunderfire, which, if boosted with certain skills, can be powerful. And if you use Jack’s Sponsored By… you can make it have 3 elements (!).
It basically puts Pangolin as a manufacturer to shame.
Maybe we’ll see it removed from BL3. Maybe Anshin too.

Agreed. Plus, Anshin is awesome in my opinion. They have some of the best shields, especially while levelling.
when that unique is bigger than anything they can throw at you, yes it can.
Doubt so, Shield of Ages can’t spawn with elemental immunity, Pangolin can.
As for Anshin, they provide all around elemental immunity, so I doubt that they’ll dissappear aswell.
