Hype is so real!
I don’t know if this has been answered yet but will the test include local splitscreen? And if I bring a friend will it violate anything on the agreement?
As it stands now, there are no plans to test split-screen capabilities in the CTT.
Bummer. My gf will have to wait til the final release to play.

Im checking every few hours for the CCT as well, I really hope I get in, been a fan of gearbox’s games for quite some time, and really curious as to how this game will play.
I have a bit of a question if it can be answered? if not thats fine.
How much of the campaign and multiplayer will we get to see in the CCT?
We will get to play one campaign mission and some PvP. That is all that has been said so far. It was mentioned in an interview on mmorpg.com. We have a post discussing the new information gleaned from the interview.

With only a week to go you’d of thought we’d of heard something by now so we can make definite arrangements.
I dare say we’ve all got the 29th cleared but I have to make some childcare arrangements.
…ok. Well emails will likely go out next week, maybe 2-3 days beforehand. The test will start the 29th and probably last 4-5 days. GBX has said they have alot to test.

hopefully this will be looked upon through eyes of grace towards a human with flaws like impatience, but the way they did these emails and testing preparation up to this point was not the best. there should have been specific details, or no test at all. perhaps saying something like, "we will be testing this many on platform x, y, and z from this region, and so on and so forth. And we will begin the testing on this day (which they did do), and we will send out emails to those selected on this day (which they did not do). this would be the biggest place they failed, imo. even having a counter when people were signing up so there were no people that were left in suspense.

In a perfect world perhaps, but that kind of transparency is a PR nightmare. This product, Battleborn, is far from completion. It is unstable, unpolished, unbalanced, and has never been tested on a scale this large. There’s a chance this test might not even work (see Evolve PS4 alpha). So if GBX were to give all the details and say “this is 100% how the test is going to work” and it doesn’t work, the backlash would be significant.
Example: GBX says ahead of time “the test will begin on the 29th and continue for 5 days,” but then the servers don’t work for the first 3 days. Well now they already told everybody the test was gonna be 5 days, so we only get 2 days of play time.
Example 2: GBX says “we’re going to test 5000 PS4s, 5000 XB1s, and 5000 PCs,” but then the servers can only handle 500 players. Now 90% of everyone who thought they were guaranteed to play are left out.
Hell, this test shouldnt even be happening! This game is so far from finished, and for a developer to put a raw product into the hands of consumers is a risky move. Yet for some reason GBX trusts us, of all people, to give critical and beneficial feedback on their labor of love.
TL;DR - You should be grateful there is a playable test at all.

Hey, I just wanted to say, thanks Gearbox Software for the offer in my email! I’d gladly sign up but my internet connection currently doesn’t have the proper speed to play any sort of online game. The best I can do is wish you at Gearbox the best of luck, may Battleborn be a successful product as the fabled “Borderlands 2” and “Borderlands: The Pre-Seque!”, of which I’ve both enjoyed playing!
Wait, did you get a downloaded code, or just the option to sign the NDA?
I would Assume the NDA becasue I think the actual download emails go out 2-3 days before the 29th besides, im pretty sure there would be 100x more hype in this thread.
