Silence the Voices, yes or not?

It does, but…
Krieg has higher default melee damage then everyone else.
He has a X% increased melee damage that works exactly the same way as a bayonet attachment and occupies the same slot.
That % increase scales with level. lvl 20: 13% | level 44: 50% | level 61: 77,6%
So after level 44 if you equip a weapon with a blade attachment that gives you 50% increased melee damage you would actually do LESS damage than if you were using weapon with no blade attachment. But if you equip the Law (100% increased melee damage) you will be doing higher melee damage.
From this thread on Reddit.

So, yeah, don’t use a bladed weapon unless it’s either a Law or a Rapier.

I see, good to know. I was not using it for melee, but then a binary prefix is better

It only applies to using melee outside of BXR anyway, so don’t worry too much about it. Just go with whatever looks good and have fun.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have the ultimate in Krieg QA, a little trick I learned from Axeplosive Rampage that turns StV from a liability into a lifesaver with 100% uptime.

Silence the Voices will never proc via throwing your Buzz Axe, especially with Buzz Axe Bombardier specced.

What this means is, you will get the StV boost and any explosive boosts, and any melee boosts, and even the Sheriff’s Badge boost, simply by only attacking in melee range if you are willing to risk it. I only ever press Normal Fire during BXR if a midget is meleeing me and I can’t reliably hit him.

Yes, if you plan on incorporating melee into your build, especially with Release the Beast, you should always proc StV, and just throw your Buzz Axe.

StV self-hits are made worse by Fuel the Blood so standard melee attacks are a little riskier under that setup and it makes sense to just chuck axes whenever you have Fuel the Blood active.

But I wouldn’t restrict myself to only chucking axes and shy away from the good old buzzaxe swipe to the head. I base that decision on whether or not the enemy in front of me is bad enough to ■■■■ me up if I get in to close, my total health at the time, or whether I can reasonable expect to kill it before it kills me.

Or you can just run Mania-Hellborn and never have to worry about StV downing you because of Fuel the Blood.

What @BookEmDano said. There are only four instances where I’ll throw my buzzaxe versus doing a melee swing:

 1. I’ve just made a melee kill and Fuel the Blood is active.
 2. I’m closing in on an enemy who’s not in melee range to soften them up before I start swinging.
 3. I’m fighting a UBA. The exception to this is one who’s phaselocked and I’m close enough to swing my ax at them.
 4. I’m ~ 33% health while rampaging and I don’t think I can kill my foe without possibly downing myself. In those situations I’ll backpedal and throw my axes until my rampage is over so I can activate it again.

I play a Mania-Bloodlust build with an emphasize on explosions, so I have to be extra careful about when and where I swing versus throw, but I rarely put myself down because of StV.

Ive actually been trying out here and there a build all explosive with Krieg with Bloodlust/Mania, Ive been having fun using a badaboom, Ravager, and bouncing between several different grenades, a common slag singularity, magic missile, and a explosive fastball. And running a Love thumper. With a flesh Crunch COM, and if my shields go down and/or my health goes down to 33% I go into RTB, and healths back up, but thats what Im doing with him as of late.

And I appreciate those 2 cents, thanks.

I probably will avoid this skill now after reading here about it.
