Seriously… Gaidax got my 200+ post count thread locked because he couldn’t stop. 90% of the posts were genuine and having a good discussion. The other 10% were literally him provoking people to get it locked -_-

I know… feelsbadman

Firstly, I’ve read that thread, there was more than one responsible party.

Secondly, if you come here pointing the finger, this thread will get locked. Can we please not go through this again and stay on topic here? Please?

IMO, it’s part of how this game rolls.

TBH, I too would wish there were more engaging ways to farm legendaries and I hope the upcoming raid will deliver it by being an actual raid and not just one boss.

OP, what do you think about the recent nerfs to FL4K? Were they deserved? Will Moze be next? Should pets be buffed first?

My major gripe with borderlands 3 is how the loot is distributed. Dont get me wrong I like world drops, it should have been like that in BL2.

We have 2 endgame modes with CoS and Proving Grounds. Why not assign dedicated loot pool to each of them on top of world drops. Increase drop rates with mayhem difficulty, mayhem 3 would have increased anointed gear drop rates.

Same thing with bosses and upcoming raid bosses.

Thats actually a good idea for the current state.Dedicated loot for Grounds will … well not make but 100% direct people into doing those more.Since release and how loot is distributed its mainly SlaughterFests and a couple of bosses.

I think mayhem mode is one of the biggest things that needs to be addressed.

I think that allowing us to choose which ones were active would be nice (and thus giving more/less bonuses based on the ā€œdifficultyā€), however, my worry there is that everyone is just going to choose the ones that benefit them.

So, a kinetic SMG or sniper user just choosing +50% resistance to each element, -50% dmg to XYZ weapon with +50% dmg to ABC weapon would just allow people to faceroll the game without actually making it harder.

@spytock1 I wholeheartedly agree there. World loot drops should be a small fraction of the loot. Just generic legendaries nobody cares about. The rest can have garbage drop rates for all I care, but if they at least drop from a specific mob I will gladly grind for hours trying to get it.

Well anthem was a hot mess, to the point that almost no one was playing.

Borderlands is no where near that imo.

I just want them to focus on what is important to the overall community, not the small vocal minority. Focus on the important items relating to a looter shooter.

Bank deletion, how is this even a thing in a game specifically made to min max your gear. Not even talking about bank space, just the deleting part.

Dont loose focus on what makes the series great.

Farming to get the boss melting build. That was always the goal in previous series. Now, it gets nerfed.

Loot drops in this game are so much better than BL2. I spent days farming a bee, days for an infinity, weeks for a sham…not even sure I ever got an alkaline bee. Dont even get me going on the cobra. I still am salty about that.

I feel like they arent finding middle ground it’s either left or right. They are going too far to each side. Hence the knee jerk reaction comment I made.

I’m just a dad who plays games. I have no clue. I do know that the more I play this game and the more ā€œbalancingā€ that gets done makes me NOT want to play.

It wasnt like that in previous games. It’s almost like Gearbox has lost touch with what the Borderlands was about.

They used to play around with glitches, sure they would fix them but they also let players enjoy them while they could. I spent hrs glitching into the treasure room on the pirate dlc climbing something that wasnt even there.

Sal was just plain stupidly fun with his nonsense. Shamfleeting, all that stuff. It kind of made the game what it was and players loved the game and they loved Gearbox for NOT being that dev that crushed all that fun stuff players could do.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m stuck in a time that has long past. I just know that this game is not the same Borderlands I fell in love with.

I’m having King of Orc PTSD. I’m also a masochist, so I want to relive it!

Oh, hey, pro tip here.

It’s much easier for us to moderate where only one party is breaking the rules. If folks engage with someone involved in that activity and in doing so breaks the rules themselves, we end up having to take action on folks we really don’t want to.

So…flag, please, don’t respond.

Honestly, it’s only been 3 weeks and hard to say whether buffs or nerfs are warranted but I would lean toward yes the Fl4k boss killer needed a bit of a nerf but adding a cooldown to a percentage based skill is counterintuitive. As for the crit percent, I’ve noticed little difference because I still melt bosses so fast but the King’s Call got an excessive nerf. As compared to the Fl4k boss killer, the pets need efficiency, such as reliable DPS or a larger AOE taunt, before being buffed so there can be existence of the build first.

You’re a lot clearer when you’re not in full rant mode, I like this you.

Yeah , exactly they are just tweaking lightly because big updates are surely coming.Things will become clearer after they actually apply fixes.
What I mean is skills and mechanics that aren’t working well or not working at all.
All performance issues cleared : Lag Ingame/Menus/Crashes on all platforms.
If that is dealt with then you can expect some serious talk about actual Nerfs/Buffs/Balancing around all the content that is coming and currently available

king’s call did get hugely nerfed, but rowans call got a 20% damage buff.

and in regards to the larger AoE taunt, if the pet actually wants to taunt things, it’d be nice if it didn’t get one shotted by badasses first. 80% damage reduction with the current perk still isn’t enough to keep it alive
