Your analysis is exactly on point, and I could not agree with you more.
It seems like this is a work in progress, so we’ll see how it shakes out.
I have yet to play since the matchmaking update but I honestly think this is a terrible idea. I get that the ‘people’ wanted a queue all button but removing mode select and forcing us to play a game mode we have 0 interest in just to get us in a match is ■■■■■■■■.
Also since I have yet to play the game since update, is the ‘Competitive’ mode actually Ranked or is that just what they call that playlist?
I would like them to revert the matchmaking to how it was before and just leave a button in for those that want to queue for all modes.
Edit: also I am finding myself playing less and less of this game recently despite wanting to play it more and wanting to really get into it competitively but as much as I tell myself to play the game and that there is nothing wrong I can’t help but notice how the queue times are getting longer and longer. Pretty sure I’m almost at the point where il stop playing completely until Pendles comes and then barely play at all.
