I don’t know if any of you are familiar with Alienation, one of the Housemarque’s games. There was some cool feature at some point that legendary weapon was marked on the minimap.
One of my videos for reference.
It’s the cabbage patch kids version of borderlands…
Again: welcome back folks!
Heya Psychichazard, long time no ‘see’
Yeah, my teeth are buzzing with excitement…much more and I’ll have to invest in a new set to grind down
Aye, Thursday feels like a long time…
I felt the same way at first, but I think it’s mostly being used to BL2’s style. After watching the trailer for the umpteenth time I think I’ve gotten used to it and am a fan of how people look now.
While I don’t have any related eye problems, I also would like the option to adjust the thickness of the Item-beams so that a legendary gets seen more. I’m no programmer, but I hope that the beams are just an optical indicator and therefore somewhat adjustable in UE4. If they aren’t, then maybe putting letters on top of the beams could help to see stuff. Make it like this: “C” for whites, “U” for greens, “R” for blues, “V” for purple and “L” for Orange gear.
A big fat “L” should be easy enough to spot.
It would probably even be a good thing to add the option for a sound effect, so that a player knows when a legendary has dropped. At the very least, that would safe someone time he/she would otherwise waste with looking for a legendary.
Gearbox has a tweet about what you were most interested in out of the trailer.
Well, this: This has such a huge part to the next game story. Many questions in this picture.
That is also a good idea. Letters would effectively do a better job than the width or height idea overall.
OK a moment while I apologize to some of my good friends here. When Battleborn tanked someone gave me a copy of Fortnite STW and I’ve been hiding in husk matter until now, but…Things are going to change very soon! Free at last!
The practicality of letters depends on the amount of loot that piles up at the same place. 5 items with overlapping signal-lettering would still be relatively illegible, but overall it would be an improvement. And when it comes to accessibility-options every little improvement is welcome.
Well, let’s just hope that’s the case. Preferably I’d prefer the models to be adjusted to be more “aesthetic” and smoother.
@Stiria21 I’d also honestly love a special audible clue to the drop of a Legendary. Something loud enough, and brief enough, to be heard and let you know before you even see anything, that something Legendary has dropped.
I have awful vision too, so the search for Legendaries in BL has always given me so much trouble.
I’d also appreciate any visual enhancement; whether it be a longer, thicker, beam of light, a blinking/glittering visual cue, mini-map icon, and/or have the Legendary piece of gear majestically floating in the air above the rest.
Previously we thought of this easter egg is addressed to the vault hunters.
Now I think it is in the perspective of the Calypso twins, maybe a letter from their Father. Maybe Tannis is on their side previously and are now helping the vault hunters hence the “Tannis is not what she seems” line.
If I had only one wish for Borderlands 3 it would be this:
MARGA = “Make Assault Rifles Great Again”
I mentioned several posts ago that n00b policy dictates that I have to play the Soldier (or Bot Jock, or whatever, lawl). Assuming one of her various class mods improve aspects of Assault Rifles, it’d be nice to not have them unnecessarily neutered as it was in Borderlands 2.
Basically no Critical Damage penalty pls.
So, serious question. Will borderlands 3 have day one linux support? Or will I have to rely on steam proton?
Given how we don’t even have a release date yet (hopefully in a couple days) I feel it might be a little early to be asking about specific PC system support or Steam. Give it a little bit and we’ll find out.
It’s never too early to worry about even being able to play. Given that TPS had same day linux release, I’m hopeful, but you never know.

Actually, no, it’s definitely April fool. Original page:
