M6 hits a balance point between too spongey to be fun but requiring higher tier weapons, and a fun romp with a more diverse loadout at M4. I do not currently plan to play above M6, unless I want to try to farm a better version of an under-performing gun for use at a lower level. Pretty sure that they will raise the level cap, perhaps with the next DLC. Mayhem 2.0 may not suit everyone, but it does give us a opportunity to tweak difficulty as needed to keep the game fun and rewarding (but they do need to scale grenades to M level)
I farm Gigamind on M10 using a Sandhawk (M6) and Hellshock (M10). Heās not hard with those and i continually upgrade my used and stored gear with those M10 drops which actually ARE upgrades. Some of the M10s Iāve gotten seem weaker than what Iāve gotten at lower M levels. When I feel like doing something else, I usually drop down to M6. I got a Yellowcake on M4 (no 300% annoint) doing the cartel event and tried to farm for one on M10 but it was too much work. I got another Yellowcake on M1 from that event, but itās too weak and doesnāt have the 300% annoint that makes it a beast.
OP I am playing at M5 as well. My Moze can easily do M6 with all the legacy gear I have, but IB starts to fall off at M6 and beyond, so that is why I am sticking at M5.
Not as good as the old M4, but whatever. It is what it is.
Even if there werenāt another level cap increase coming, thereās thankfully no pressing need to play at maximum Mayhem.
