So what type of game IS this? More like TF2, or Borderlands?

immersion, personal preference, be unique

there are moments when (some) characters moves go to an 3rd person view

This one is easy.

Co-op and multiplayer.

While I agree you get a bit more visibility on your visual appearance in a 3rd person game, I believe many people still feel the value in expressing how they which to look to other live players.

Borderlands and TF2 have both shown that players really like this, even in first person.

And as MentalMars mentions, we’re doing some things to be sure you get to see your character in all of their glory, pulling out the camera on a few moves, on taunts, and being sure menus in the front end and character select show your character doin’ their thing!

I wish you could play the melee characters in 3rd person all the time.

Looking at all of this talk about 3rd person and i have to say it shouldn’t be available, mainly in multiplayer. This vision gives the user the ability to unnaturally look over cover and round corners giving them a unfair advantage against first person users and as you can probably guess very annoying.

i like the idea! but again i feel like with Rath especially, you will lose the intense feeling of slaughtering your enemy first hand and personally feel that first person makes the games feel faster paced!

But again everyone is entitled to there opinion and preference

the more i see of this game the more it seams to be like a MOBA but with a story behind it, not my kinda game, but i can see the appeal to it from the multiplayers with so many differant characters, but im not into the MOBA games

I had a chance to play this at E3 and even with playing the same “mission” 3 times, I still want to play this game. Like Randy had said earlier, the ability to master a character keeps you coming back time and time again. Since we only have 10 of the initial 25 roster, I am sure that you will find many different characters to love with a myriad of play styles.

The more we see, the less MOBA-like it looks.

we all have a right to our own opinions, i see a MOBA, and you dont, cool. we all know what makes a game work for ourselves. Hope your right, i just dont see it yet,

A lot of people just heard that term and stick with it, including much of the so called “video game press”

ill take the word of the so called video game press over a developers any day. lets face it, developers job is to develop, hype, and get their game sold, so honesty doesnt come in. Be real here, if a developer says, hay, we got a good game, but it has some flaws in it, but we plane on fixing those later so buy our game, do you think people would run out and buy it now, or wait till its fixed first. So ya, ill take press over developers any day. And i didnt just hear the tem MOBA, i know what one is, and even the devs have said, it does have some moba elemants, but mostly a FPS. Its been stated in a few of the interviews about it

We have a good game. It has some flaws in it, but we plan on fixing those.

Without trying to start anything major here, what you are saying is one of the things hurting the gaming industry IMO. By classifying a game as only one type, you are limiting what you want to see about the game and thus creating opinions about it that may or may not be true. Yes, there are MOBA elements in it so much as it is multiplayer, can be played with others through internet, and has matches.

Also, it is the job of developers to be proud of the products they are creating, that is true. They will talk it up and make it sound amazing. From sitting on the panels for this game, I can assure you that they not only have the passion, but the heart for this game.

But I am just one gamer in a sea of many.

i think you may have misunderstood or i didnt word it right. But we do all have our own opinions, and @Jythri i was referring to when the game is released, not while still in development, but its all good, i did get a good chuckle at that, thanks

Mission accomplished.

Nice, no disrespect meant towards the Devs, just pointing out that it is your job to hype your game, not saying its not good, cause i do like some of what i see, just not my type of game so far from what ive seen. im sure all are working hard to put out what they think of as a good game, i applaud you all and your work.

Thanks for allowing me to have my own opinion. I was worried there you wouldn’t let me.

The game isn’t a MOBA.

I don’t understand these kind of posts. Please don’t take this the wrong way because it is really curiosity but if the game doesn’t interest you why you are posting in forums about it?

I ask because I’ve seen a lot of this and it generally confuses me. There are 1000’s of video games and few interest me, I spend time on the games that do interest me and I don’t spend time in the ones that don’t.

Why spend time making any posts at all, not to mention many in a game you don’t plan on playing?

simple, it doesnt interest me at the moment, but does show promise, so i keep an eye and post things, waiting to see or hear anything that may get me interested in it. All im saying is at this point i havnt seen enough to make me get it, doesnt mean that somewhere down the line they might show something that does make me want to play.
Hope that answered u @Derch Just cause we arent into it now, doesnt mean we wont be latter, we can change our minds, right, especailly for us woman, we allways are changeing our minds, LOL Now i cant say everyone posting is for the same reasons, but this is my reason. its all good

Thats fair enough, thanks for the response and nice one as well.

As long as it has an entertaining story I can play with friends and interesting characters, I’ll be happy. :dukecheese:
