Some one graced me with it upon the release of the Claptastic Voyage DLC. after playing with it I banked it. And that is where it stays. I didnât care for it. I prefer legitimate gear anyways. My concern comes from prior experience with it and what I can speculate about it.
But DPS numbers show that, for example, it has more than twice the DPS of a perfect parts Maggie with crit luneshine. There may be other guns in the game that would produce higher numbers than a Maggie of course⌠But more than twice ?
And testing by âŚsomeone with means⌠Show that the time it needs to kill Eclipse by just activating Tombstone and holding the trigger with a non elemental version can only be matched by something like spamming all your RL ammo from 2 element matching perfect Badabooms, being real lucky on your glitches with a Quad or something similar.
In short, it accomplishes casually what only really tight combos can do in ideal scenarios.
Like I said, I might be wrong and the LF might be totally fine. I guess weâll only find out if Gearbox decides to release it.
I can probably accommodate that request. the one i have is cryo. so it is not NE, not sure if that will sway you from doing the test?
But there are exploits within TPS that outperform it imo. Things like using a the yellow loop glitch and merging that into âlets say a luck cannonâ. Burst firing and no recoil on the luck cannon(espcially in Nishaâs hands) is ridiculous DPS. itâs an exploit that cannot be fixed(at least I think it canât) and hasnât IIRC. I havenât tried that exploit in a while. Itâs total overkill. But my point is there are exploits, glitches, gear that is available already that will outperform the LF, imo.
Well, thatâs my point: if you have to rely on glitches or bugs to match that gun, then itâs too strong 
Also, a Cryo LF would suck against Eclipse: shield resist Cryo and he canât be frozen anyway.

Fun to me is taking something within the game, and being able to do things with it that are outside the confines of what the game dictates they should do. To me, getting that 20 fire rate gun would be fun because there are no other 20 FR guns. Its already at the FR breakpoint of consoles, so I wouldnât have to take any fire rate boosts. I could entirely ignore that stat and still have high DPS, which opens up other options.
When I double the fire rate on y Fragnum or LD, thatâs fun for me because the game gives them low fire rates. A shield that never stops recharging is fun to me because I can constantly take damage without fear. That gun you mentioned would just be another one of those tools that allow me to play a bit outside the box of what the game dictates via stats on gear.
As I said, its not about not wanting challenge. When gear allows me to play the way I want, I find it fun. And a 20 FR gun with Lifesteal would do just that.
Because its in the code and I donât expect GB to make new guns. If we could get those Iâd drop this in a heartbeat, but since we more than likely wonât get new content, Iâd just like whateverâs in the code to come to light. I want to see the entirety of the matrixâŚ
Not to minimize your argument, nor do I want to sound like Iâm hating on the game, but TPS has been dead for several months now. If there was any time to break the balance of this game with OP gear, it would be now when only the hardcore nuts like us are still riding in this ship

The point youâve brought up repeatedly is that it would be a bad balancing on GBâs part to put the LF in the game because it would make the game too unbalanced for Nisha players, ruining any semblance of choice.
Thatâs not a point Iâm willing to argue, because that comes from a min-maxing state of mind. There isnât a guarantee that Nisha players will be so negatively affected by this that it completely ruins their experience. There was gear that viewed as mandatory in BL2 (Endgame Krieg consisted of 2 shields, and you know the whole Sal and the grog argument), but that didnât stop anyone from still enjoying those characters.
Still, I recognize that you do have an extremely valid point there. However, my counter would be how the alternative is any better from a design and balancing standpoint. To not include a piece of gear because 1 character out of 6 has 2 skills that break the weapon is a pretty bad balance choice in its own right. You may think its selfish for non-Nisha players to want the LF regardless of how it affects Nishaâs balance, but then again, why should the other five be screwed out of a great weapon because OFEOY and TS are too good?
The LF would totally break the game with Nisha, I donât really doubt that. But when the LC can also clear a room in seconds, how much does it really matter? Nisha has so many powerful options that even if the LF was included, it would just be another rung on the ladder. It may become the premier boss killer over Jakobs shotties, but for mobbing Nisha nearly one shots almost everything. And being an automatic and a Hyperion, even with the crit bonus youâll still waste a few bullets, and you know better than anyone that a few missed bullets add up.
So even in the worst case scenario, Nisha has a weapon that destroys the LC (like the LC does for non-glitch pistols already). At best, she has an option that becomes BiS for raiding and bosses with adds. With how much damage she puts out already, the LF doesnât offer her anything she canât get in spades from another source.
So is it really that bad? Would it break the balance that much? Iâd argue, if anything, the concern that will invalidate all other gear would be a better case to make for Wilhelm or Athena than Nisha, since their pistols options are a bit lacking.
Because they would not be âscrewedâ out of anything: officially, the Lady fist isnât in the game. Itâs not the same thing as arguing for the removal of a pre-existing piece of gear⌠just to not make the mistake of introducing it in the first place.
Most of the comments go in that sense: that not including it is some kind of theft, that weâre entitled to have it. But itâs not.
When they were discovered, I actually argued that it was there for the devs to test the crit mechanics (since it had such a high crit bonus and was already designed) Whatever the reason was for the devs to put it in the code is theirs.

Iâm arguing for not including broken gear in general because I think game balance matters, and while mistakes cannot always be fixed, they sometimes can be prevented. Iâm starting to think that while it is undoubtedly abusable (as in: prepare to see it a LOT in time trials and videos of whacky combos ), it might not be as broken as I initially thought.

I disagree. Its in the code, and some people can already obtain the weapon (every if it is through 3rd parties). Not including it in the game is denying console players the opportunity to play with a new weapon that PC players have had access to forever.
So we may not be getting âscrewedâ per se, but I donât really think its fair that the reason console players canât get a LF is because GB designed Nisha with skills that make it too powerful. I donât think we should have something we know is in the game files withheld from us because of the way the devs designed Nisha. There is so little content in this game compared to its predecessor that every little bit that is withheld hurts it. And while the fibber is a great compromise, and better even in some ways, it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth to think that the reason the devs wonât put the LF in is because of how they designed 1 character. It just irks me a bit.

I do not agree with your reasoning and arguments, but as you said, I am not the one calling the shots.
If I was, you would not see the LF in the game. You would not see any gun returning from a previous installment. You would see some of the 250+ weapon and item concepts I made for the game. And some of the 8 or so detailed classes I came up with. Plus some great ideas I came across in the forums. Because I love it.
But I am not the one calling the shots. The people who are/were, however, decided to put the LF in the TPS code.
You love the game as much as I do, if not more. Donât you hate to see it die like this?
I seriously doubt weâll see any new weapons made. There are some unobtainable ones in the code though.
Why not have those as a last farewell? Why not go out with a blaze?
Having the LF in the game is insignificant to me now, as I do not play the game anymore. The Taser is just as good a substitute as any. The Lady Fist wonât take whatever little fun is left away.
Itâs not selfish, quite the contrary. I know it would not ruin the game for me: I already never use the Luck Canon or some of the most powerful stuff for herâŚnot my style, iâd rather make new builds that no one ever thought of before instead Itâs other players Iâm worried about.
It just happens to be the class I play, but I would say the same thing it it would break any other character.
The extra enjoyment some players would have is not proportionate to how much it could hurt others. (I.E. : âyay a new gun!â Vs âwell, my favorite character, that I spent dozens of hours leveling is no fun anymoreâ, or âDamn, this game suck now, I wish I would have played Nisha insteadâ )
In short, I do mind totally ruining the game forever for some people, so that another group can âenjoy it a little bit more for a little bit longerâ
The Lady fist will not spark a great revival in interest for the game, but it might turn off a sizeable portion of players for good.
