That is kind of the point of her ult, it’s a last resort survivability thing, really effective against burst and it, just like the rest of her kit, allows her to win almost all duels, assuming the opponent sticks around. This is basically supposed to be used when 3 or more guys challange you in your death trap that is desecrate, maybe you pick off one because they chose to to leave since it’s a 3v1, at which point you are low so you pop this to survive and should they wait for you to comeback up since you have been stealing health the entire time you should be able to still take out one of them, maybe both.

Anyways yeah it’s supposed to be used in order to dodge things as well, I can’t tell from your post if your complaining about it (no offence) or your just stating something.

I agree she should be nerfed you want to know why I think so here’s why: I was playing as Reyna with a skilled Ambra player And there was a level 6 player using Galilea … We got decimated and I was bugging the Ambra player the most of the time

The problem is she just does way too much damage. If she stuns you, then she gets in your face and starts melting your health. No other tank can do that. Montana has a stun but he’s not going to melt your health after he stuns you, he just doesn’t do enough damage. Which is fine, it’s the way it should be as he’s a tank.

Montana is also ranged and has a massive damage AoE, and has nearly twice the health as Galilea…

Dude…Montana doesnt have half the DPS Galilea has. She is on Rath level DPS wise.

I never claimed they have the same damage output…I pointed out the good things montana has that galilea is lacking. You understand that each character is supposed to be different right?

Im not going to go into ALL the tools Gally has and what makes it an issue all over again…theres another long thread where posts go into it indepth if your curious.

Word is her DPS is taking a hit, which is the main issue really. If you feel different thats fine, i understand you can only go by your personal experience.

Yes but if Montana hits you with Mansformation he doesn’t then proceed to melt you into a puddle. That’s the problem with Galilea. Having played Montana quite a bit he’s actually very hard to land kills at all. Which, again, is fine as Tanks aren’t supposed to be getting all the kills. They’re supposed to be getting a lot of assists and tanking damage for their more squishy brethren. Galilea is a one-woman army.

This is the perfect description of Gal. Out of the few matches all day only a couple had Gals in them and they weren’t anywhere near a threat as people make her out to be. The biggest reason is the times I’ve gone against her was as Isic. Simply put Gal cannot function against control. I kept her slowed if she was chasing. If she lunged on someone she pinned with her shield, I would just straight tackle her so the other could disengage, And I’d easily goad her by being low health with all my protection ready as others took care of her.

As designed to be a hard counter to Ambra, she functions in about the same fashion. You ignore her and let her keep on top of you she’ll just whittle you down. Push her back or keep her still. Control the zone and she’ll do nothing against you.

Youre talking about Galilea After the nerf while both the original and the post you quoted are about Before the nerf.

So yea…she seems to be in a good place right now; good players can still use her effectively and the more casual players cant just wreck people without any actual strategy.

I just went 10-2 with Gali, 8 assist, no healer/ Reyna, etc, reached character rank 2. Second time ever playing her, I don’t even know how to play this BB, and I am really bad with melees.

The two deaths were me pushing in trying to chase enemy down in incursion then having to retreat.:expressionless:

As with any PVP game, simply quoting someone who did VERY well as a certain character is not helpful, or an accurate representation of that character.

That person could be just COUGH VERY SKILLED ya know.

Also, I’m stating this generally, as so many of these “unfair character” posts don’t take into account player skill. Battleborn is NOT the sort of game where “the person who shows up to the fight wearing the largest stomping boots wins” - you can just as easily get pounded into the dirt by a Command Level 1 character if the player is very skilled (aaand this is how it SHOULD BE - none of this “you can only be VERY GOOD if you love me, and play me 20x a day for 6 months” BS that most games have…).

Yes, but skill makes it even worse. There’s no way a COUGH TANK should deal 30k more damage than a character that’s all about dealing insane amounts of damage. Ghalt is a beast, yet a TANK did 30k more damage.

There is no defending it. We get it, you love to play as galilea but you don’t deserve to automatically win matches or kill other players just because you unlocked her.

I’ve played several what I would consider high lvl matches with a full 5 group. The team with galilea almost certainly wins. Her frontline is too strong, the lack of reliable big burst dps in this game makes it incredibly tough to out dps her ability to heal. Combine that with the fact Ambra and miko get picked 80% of the time. there is too much healing going to her.

There doesn’t seem to be a solid counter to her either. Your best chance is to blow all cc on her and hope u can kill her before miko and Ambra keep her up and she escapes and heals and comes back in while your cds are down

Thats possible…I can only speak from my personal experience. Ive been playing alot of Boldur lately and I cant imagine any way she owns him 1v1 in that duel, his shield can pretty much soak up vs fully Corrupt. A war of atrition if anything.

Now if she has a Support then throw another Support to the other side and it still seems like good fight, Tank vs Tank…she certainly doesnt have the Top Assassin-esque burst she had before.

From my experience (57 matches) Gali is consistently the biggest threat. Her lane clear makes her level ahead of everyone and shes still extremely lethal because of the full hp energy blasts thing up close.
