[SOLVED] EMP ability malfunction

I’ve got a fighter that I would like to be able to fire an emp weapon on command, just like the Hiigaran/Vaygr Scouts. So, I copied over the corresponding lines from the Hiigaran scout’s .ship and .events files to my fighter and tried to configure them so they would apply to my fighter correctly. However, in-game it does not show as having the ability to EMP. Is there anything else I need to do regarding adding a special ability to my ship?

Did you change the 0 to 1 to have the ability enabled without having to research it?

addAbility(NewShipType, “SpecialAttack”, 0, “EMP”) change the 0 to 1 as in the following:

addAbility(NewShipType, “SpecialAttack”, 1, “EMP”)

Oh lord, this was probably it haha facepalm, I’ll fix that as soon as I get home.
